See, that big white blob outside the window is Luna, and the steam rising from the still warm toast is fogging up the window above the two top corners.
Yep it’s a miracle, but toast is just a middling miracle. Now if you can show me a an ear of corn with the last supper made up of different colored kernels, I would say that’s a high powered miracle. 🙂
We used to be able to leave the door open on warm days (like today) to get a bit of cross current going through the house. Now you can only leave the front door open if you watch it like a hawk. Otherwise, Mr. Stealthypants makes a run for it. Even Luna outside the door has not proven to be a complete deterent.
Hopeful is doing fine. They got all the cancer, his spleen was clear, and he’s being his “normal” self — sleeping with the occasional interruption for eating.
I’ve put in a few good words to the toast on his behalf. Just as there are no atheists in a foxhole, I find that sick or missing pets bring about similars pleas for divine intervention from even the most areligous.
if it was a portrait of luna. 🙂
I’m not sure I could do justice to Luna in a line drawing of that small a scale. Albert on the other hand . . .
I hope you have more bread!
Not at the moment, but I’ll fire up the bread machine in a bit. Best thing since sliced bread, bread machines.
Praise the Lord and pass the margarine.
Hi keres

True, it’s a middling miracle.
Would the virgin on a tortilla be up or down on the miracle scale?
How about gourd in the shape of the head of John the Baptist? Where would that rate?
Good thing he can’t read.

How’s the hound dog doing?

I’m glad it went well for him.
I’ve been very pleasantly surprised how fast he is recovering since he’s 13 and I expected the surgery to be harder on him.
I very glad to hear that.

is agnostic on just about everything but the belief that his dish should always have food it — so don’t let that toast get too close to him.
Thanks Keres. It’s been contentious around here, and your toast has put a song in my mind to make it easier to come back.
“When I find myself in times of trouble
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.”
Your photos are always guaranteed to lift the spirits, you are an artist.
I Do believe in toast, I do.
We aim to please, or to at least play “straight” woman for the crowd of jokers that seems to gravitate here.
Here’s a smile for you:

A baby Great horned owl.
I’m not sure that owl is smiling as much as s/he is sizing up the photographer as something mom or dad might bring home to eat.
