I was gone and now I’m back! Are you guys getting snow today? We’re getting the rainy part of the system, and FM was supposed to have bad T-storms last night.
I hope so too – it looked like his town was right in the track. Cleveland had bad icing last night and downed trees and lots of accidents. Hope my family is okay but it’s still too early to call.
Don’t know if you are going to have the same weather pattern that we did but we got snow, then freezing rain and sleet but by the time I went to bed it had warmed up above freezing and started to melt and it stayed above freezing so that all the ice and slush was gone when I got up.
That would be nice. We’re pretty much on the line between sleet/freezing rain and just rain for later tonight. It just depends on what happens with the temp.
On the way home last night, it looked like they had already been brining the roads, so at least they’re ready.
Mine has a general aura of cleanliness but you don’t want to look too close. For instance this morning I noticed someone had stepped in dog poo and walked around the whole first floor. Grrr. So I had to mop before I even had coffee.
Yeah, I was sitting in the dark, lacing my shoes yesterday and noticed one of them was resting square in the middle of a large cat barf. Great way to start the day.
Yes. If you have some expertise to share, I’m grateful for the chance to learn from people who know things. Now, whether I’ll pay attention is the question.
Oh yeah – good morning all, and as a former coffee addict let me say that tea is also great.
sharing knowledge is always a good thing. I am sure some people would love more knowledge on this so that when we are looking at the statistics on a campaign we understand them better.
No, I did not sleep in. LOL I have been working on a design that I can not use until I get permission but it is for a campaign some strong women in Texas are getting started.
It is clear as a bell here and by 8 pm last night the high winds had left. No damage at my place but I did hear that there were wild fires where idiots didn’t listen about the burn bans in the area.
We got through the storms down here fine last night. There was a lot of damage in other areas, but we seemed to escape it. I didn’t get to sleep until about 3:00 am because of the storm and I’m still trying to wake up.
Time for me to make some coffee and wake up. Back in awhile.
We had some pretty high winds, but no trees down, at least in the neighborhood. Last night they had trees down on the interstate, car wrecks and power outages, but as I said, we lucked out here.
I am very unhappy with technology right now — I had the DVR set up to record “CBS Sunday Morning” because they were having a piece on Keith Olbermann…but when I checked it this morning, it wasn’t on the DVR!!! I am slightly PO’d about that. Fortunately, CBS does sell tapes (!!!) of the broadcast, and I still have the DVD/VHS combo player because the spouse has several collector’s edition train videos that likely will never be put on DVD, so I’ll check in a couple of weeks and see if today’s show is available for purchase (the last one listed is February 11 so looks like there’s about a 2 week delay in getting the shows up for sale).
Other than that, got a lot of stuff to do today in preparation for the Grand Pre-Birthday Adventure…hope everyone else’s day goes well…
I feel like I’m in a time warp. Can I really be the first one here?
And I’m a slow second. Or are you gone already?
I was gone and now I’m back! Are you guys getting snow today? We’re getting the rainy part of the system, and FM was supposed to have bad T-storms last night.
Apparently snow today, and it looks like probably ice on top overnight. I’m glad we got out for a hike yesterday.
I saw those storms in the south were pretty bad. Hope everybody down there is okay.
I hope so too – it looked like his town was right in the track. Cleveland had bad icing last night and downed trees and lots of accidents. Hope my family is okay but it’s still too early to call.
Texas and Arkansas looked bad too.
I hope the ice bit skips us. Shallow woman that I am, I want to watch the Oscars tonight.
Me too, but just so I can make fun of everyone for being way more beautiful, talented and fucked up than I am.
What did you think of Meredith’s near death experience on Grey’s? Some people are calling it jumping the shark, but I thought it was cool.
I just love to pick at their clothes…remember when Gwyneth Paltrow left NOTHING to the imagination with that see-thru black top? Icky-poo.
I missed the episode the week before, so I was sort of piecing things together the whole show. It was kind of weird.

Home from your excursion to the lovely east coast, I see.
Right after I put up the cafe, the site was unavailable so so that may have had something to do with it.
Also, it’s Sunday.
Don’t take away my pride in being up early enough to chat with you.
Is you house all neat and spiffy for your guests?
Not even a little bit. O-J are coming tomorrow and leaving Thursday, and my sister is coming Thursday and leaving next Monday.
Heh. Every picture I’ve seen of your house is spiffy tidy.
Mine, on the other hand, is in it’s usual state of comfy disarray.
Mine has a general aura of cleanliness but you don’t want to look too close. For instance this morning I noticed someone had stepped in dog poo and walked around the whole first floor. Grrr. So I had to mop before I even had coffee.
that’s even worse than statistics in the morning.
What Andi said.
Dogs bring so much into our lives, don’t they? 🙂
Yes they do. And thank FSM for scented oils and a burner from The Body Shop. Yay Satsuma Orange.
LOL Better than having a dog who finds the dried poo I missed and brings it in the house to play with. LOL
Yeah, I was sitting in the dark, lacing my shoes yesterday and noticed one of them was resting square in the middle of a large cat barf. Great way to start the day.
Good morning everyone!
LOL morning Indianadem. LOL
Morning refinish69! At least mine probably wasn’t quite as odorous.
dried usually doesn’t stink that much. LOL and usually I catch here before she can make a mess with it.
over at Big Orange, I have a bunch of diaries in a series I call
Statistics 101
any interest here? Not much effort for me to cross post, so if I get a few YES responses, I’ll start.
oh, and an easier question:
Isn’t coffee wonderful?
Coffee is the nectar of the gods as far as I’m concerned. Statistics? I’ll tell you AFTER the coffee! 🙂
Mmm…coffee. That’s what I need before I run to the store.
I think today is an espresso morning. 🙂
Our local coffee house blends my favorite for me – a 50/50 mix of french roast & turkish. That’ll bang yer eyes open!
before 8:00 a.m.? That’s a bit early for weekend brain engagement.
OTOH, we have a rather geeky/nerdy/wonky crowd here so there’s probably some appeal.
Hi Andi
Well, I didn’t ask people to READ the diaries now 🙂
Just to say if they would be interested in reading the diaries, later….
Me? I’m a morning person, but I know that most people are not.
I am a morning person but with prejudices.
Okay, I’m slow in the morning that I just now realized that you said sadistics instead of statistics.
Unh. Need more espresso. now. :/
I’ll check it out, although it might go right over my head if I don’t have coffee first. (Okay, maybe even with the coffee, but I’ll try.)

Morning everyone!
There is at least one math geek in every crowd. LOL
I’m more a stats geek … 🙂
Morning refinish!

Glad to here you are okay FamilyMan!!!
Thanks RF. Got some coffee and my eyes are starting to open.
Great job on the “Official” cafe openings yesterday.
Thank you!!!!
Morning FM! Glad you escaped the worst of it. It looks like a good day for some slacking here.
Hey Indianadem and thanks.
Everyday is a slacking day. 🙂
Looking at the storm damage on TV now. Yikes!
Morning Olivia.
We had some pretty high winds, but no trees down, at least in the neighborhood. Last night they had trees down on the interstate, car wrecks and power outages, but as I said, we lucked out here.
How’re ya doing today?
Just making my presspot coffee … mmmmm. Otherwise not too much … thinking about going down to the canal to skate.
What about you? How’s George feeling?
I took some pix of Peaches last night.
The Canal sounds like it would be fun. I’ve only skated once and it wasn’t to pleasant of an experience. 🙂
George is getting back to his old self. Appetite is back and he’s starting to yap at things. I’m just tired from being up most of the night.
Peaches looks great and great pic.
You better get back to bed for a nap then, you don’t want to lose your smarts. 🙂
I’ll talk to later.
Talk to you later. Yep my eyes are open now, so it’s time for a nap.
Back later.
Canal skating looks so much fun. I could almost handle the cold of Canada for that. 🙂
Candygram?
