We are blessed with great skies. Not quite SW desert skies, but then what is?
I spent the day hanging more drywall. I’m almost done with the wall, which leaves the ever exciting ceiling! Tomorrow I need to mark out all of the places we need to dig post holes this weekend. So, the usual stuff.
Good morning, Andi and keres!
Still grey skies and on the cool side, but weekend forecast looks great.
No new tools here, but a new toy arrived yesterday – a USB turntable to connect to the laptop. I can now listen to all that great, old vinyl (my old tt had died long ago) – and convert them to mp3s.
and a great idea. We’ve recorded from our lp’s using a connection on the mac to the hifi system but the amount of noise on them has been pretty bad. Hope it works better for you.
for me — the spouse has a lot of rare stuff on vinyl that will never make it to CD, as do the inlaws (including a recording of Britten’s Noye’s Fludde done by their church choir when the spouse was a wee lad); I’d love to do some conversions.
Well, our long national nightmare continues…but our long personal nightmare around here is OVER! Spouse was released from training yesterday, and today will be back on the road; work hours today are noon to 9 (or thereabouts) so I figure I’ll do some erranding later and have a late lunch/early dinner while I’m out. And now I need to take his schedule into account when I make dinner; I should clean out the fridge so there’s room for a food plate when I eat before he’s home.
Life is slowly returning to normal (or what passes for normal)…
Good morning Andi.
We had a nice sunset a few hours ago. I don’t like to brag, but this one was only a little bit better than usual.
That is a Tucson-quality sunset! Absolutely spectacular (and a great shot).

your life is almost as exciting as mine. 😉
It’s just one thrill after another!
And don’t forget plumbing and trenches, those are long term fun.
Of course, we must remember that it is all done in the service of acquiring more tools.
Alas, I’ll I got out of the drywalling was some plastic spackling knives, and for the post holes I’m renting a power auger.
Clearly, you need to plan some more appropriate projects.
Good morning/afternoon to everyone.

I keep thinking about getting a turntable. Not that it has to be USB, but that might be easier than getting a sound card with RCA ports.

The quality is good, but what a time consuming project compared to simply importing CDs. As if I need more time in front of a computer…

Good morning all.
I overslept this am. Hope everyone is doing fine.
I didn’t oversleep the first time, but I did the second time. Now i’m just groggy and crabby.
Hi SN.
Get thee some coffee to get rid of the crabbiness. 🙂
I’ve got some coffee down me and it’s time to get the house ready for relatives coming in today.
Later.
an unlisted address, FM… lol
Hi Cali.
Only problem is relatives have a way of finding you. 🙂
Back to cleaning.
Later.
Froggy Bottom Happy Hour here
