WWW Saturday Night Smackdown: Sheryl Crow v. Karl Rove

I guess there was a reason to attend the White House Correspondent’s Association’s Dinner after all (hint: it wasn’t Rich Little’s routine), if only to witness this:

One highlight: singer Sheryl Crow, on a cross-country global warming awareness trip, got into it with Karl Rove. Jawing like a baseball manager and an umpire arguing a call, Crow and Rove were disagreeing over global warming, with Crow’s pal, Laurie David, offering support.

Approached afterward about the exchange, Rove said he was enjoying it all, “if I can get to my meal.”

Hey, Karl. If you think Ms. Crow was “obnoxious” regarding global warming, just imagine what Cindy Sheehan might have had to say to you about Iraq. Not that criticism ever seems to get to the Architect of the “Worst Presidency in American History” much. I’m sure the mass slaughter in Iraq and the future catastrophes global warming will bring don’t bother him in the least each night when he lays down his head to sleep. One of the little perks of being a sociopath, doncha know?
