Conference Title: Pursuing Justice in Israel/Palestine: Changing Minds, Challenging US Policy” A JVP Conference – Everyone Welcome!

Saturday night, April 28 – Public cultural event to kick off the national JVP conference, featuring Ronnie Gilbert (formerly of the Weavers) and Sandy Tolan (author of 2006 Booklist best nonfiction book award winner “The Lemon Tree” about Israel/Palestine), and Olive Branch Awardees Jeff Halper (Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions) and Anat Biletszki (B’Tselem).

Sunday, April 29 – JVP national conference, all day (ending early evening). Includes panels/workshops on US Middle East Policy and the role of the Lobby, Is it Apartheid?, Building a Jewish Anti-Occupation Movement, Feminist Activism, Non-Violence, Art and Anti-Occupation, and more!

LOCATION:

Samuel Merritt Health Education Center in downtown Oakland, 400 Hawthorne Ave., Oakland, CA 94609 (34th & Telegraph/Broadway, 13 minute walk from MacArthur BART, and near the #51, 43 and 40 bus routes.)
