No impeachment? Why not?!!!

What kills me is most Republicans in Congress today still think the impeachment of Bill Clinton was the right thing to do. Yet we cant muster the <strike>courage, political will, balls,</strike&gt the perfect press release to impeach George W. Bush.

If there EVER was a President in the history of America where a clear case for impeachment exists, it is George W. Bush.

But Kucinich is right, impeach Cheney first.

I received this message from Code Pink this morning.

House Speaker Pelosi’s office is taking calls voting
for Impeachment of Bush/Cheney at 202-225-0100.

Folks, each of you who have been wanting impeachment,
need to commit right now to ask at least 10 others to
call and ask each person to commit to asking 10 others
to call and so on. It needs to happen fast and NOW.
Let’s inundate the Speaker’s office with demands for
impeachment of Bush AND Cheney.

I called about 9:10 EDT and the receptionist sounded exhausted already.

I was told they are not actually taking a vote, that that was a rumor. They are taking “comments” and will pass them along.

So I commented.

BTW, unfortunately, the phone was not busy when I called.

I got a similar email (not from CodePink) and I took it as a kind of chain letter. But if it results in lots of calls to Pelosi then I’m all for it.
