I can’t figure out an easy way to access the old thread, so you might want to re-post your B-day greetings (for MM) here.
Happy Wednesday!
Happy B’day MM.
Happy B’day CG.
Happy Birthday to the women of the pond.
Hiya O.
I hear there is something stirring in the hockey world. w00t! 🙂
😀
Did you know that a hockey puck is made up of 11 different materials? I saw something on tv yesterday that shows how they’re made. Hah! 🙂
I was going to bring the cake!!
🙂
Uh, thanks, Omir, but we’ve seen your cake before… 🙂
CG and mm!
lTMF’sA
and Happy Unbirthday to all the rest of ya’s.
Hi Omir.
I’ll accept that Happy Unbirthday and thank you.
Good morning/evening all.
It’s Thursday and the week is almost over.
Good morning, FM!
Thanks for the update, I already had the feeling of Friday – my inner clock off by a day (or, maybe it was just wishful thinking).
Morning ask.
I hope you’re feeling better today. Nothing wrong with wishing thinking. 🙂
That should have been wishful. Geeze! 🙂
No coffee yet?
On the second cup, just a bad speller. 🙂
Thursday feels great from my end. Hope everyone else is peachy.
Good morning SN.
Glad to hear your day is starting out good.
Had any of the French Pressed coffee yet?
Just took my first sip, thank you. The mr. comes back from two weeks in Europe today so I figure I should at least be awake.
That would especially be a good idea if you have to drive to the airport to pick him up.
The Mr. took the camera with him, didn’t he? Betcha there will be some good pictures.
Betcha there will be really bad or no pictures.
I dreamed about Andi last night, and cooking bacon at my sister’s house and some sort of messy christmas party with tons of my nieces and nephews in attendance. I think this offends Andi in at least 2 distinct ways, possibly three.
Ooooooh you’re going to get it.
The “Wrath of Andi” is coming. 🙂
Do you think she’ll slap me with a piece of bacon? Mmmmmm….baaaaacon.
How did you like Lost last night? I watched it during comercial breaks in Medium which I like better and I didn’t recognize anyone.
I caught most of it and it was OK. Since they’ve cut down the number of shows per season and you’re seeing the re-run over and over and over, I’ve sort of lost interest in it.
Me too. I got tired of getting jerked around. I heard that they are commited to 3 more seasons. I hope the writers come up with an actual long term storyline.
I really like Medium, and am totally in love with Joe DuBois.
I’ve never seen Medium. I’ll have to take a look next time.
The endless re-running of that show made me give up on it long ago.
Morning CG.
I’m there myself
How is the birthday girl 2.0?
Not too bad…drinking coffee and bed-bogging. I am sooo lazy this morning!
Are you ready for the return of Mr. Nature?
What did you get for your birthday?
And, meh, on the mr. :/
Some new clothes and an amazing cookbook I’ve been eyeballing for a while. Arabesque
I’m trying to pick out something to make for dinner tonight, although it might have to wait until tomorrow (baseball game).
That looks wonderful. I’ve sort of reached this point where I’m sick of cooking and feel I just don’t have it in me anymore. My favorite meal is anything that someone else makes for me. I need a wife.
I’ve been going through that too. Usually a new cookbook is enough to inspire me again, and I really miss my cooking light subscription. At least with that, I would try one or 2 new things a month.
We’ve pretty well worked our way through the Indian cookbook since Christmas, so this will be a nice change. Plus, I love the Moroccan/Lebanese desserts.
The mr. has been gone for 13 days and Ben and I have had a home cooked meal exactly twice. The servers at Taste of Thai know us on sight. Ah well, back to cooking for a couple of days.
See my response to the left…
Fmom is up early this morning. Gotta go.
Bye FM! Have a great day!
Over here!
I could think of a lot worse things than Thai food for 2 weeks.
I’m thinking roast chicken with raisin and pine nut pilaf tomorrow night.
Mmmmm…somehow my bowl of Crispix and skim milk pale in comparison!
It’s time for a bar. Who’s thirsty?
I’m just completely wiped. Can I go to bed now?
Hi Andi.
Beige room blues huh? Of course you can go to bed.
I imagine it won’t be too long after dinner before I pass out.
How’s things?
Everything is fair at the moment. I finally got FMom to the doctor today and she had a fever, so the doctor put her on antibiotics.
Other than that I’m just watching things pile up around the house. I keep saying tomorrow I’ll get to it. 🙂
For some reason I thought today was Friday and when I saw the trouble at LAX I kept wondering if you were one of the multitude of people waiting to get back in.
It wouldn’t matter if it was friday because I’m not in southern california — I’m just south of san francisco and flying out of san jose.
Glad you got FMom to the doc. Hope she feels better soon.
I flew in and out of SF airport a couple of times, but I never got to go to san jose. I lived between SF and Sacramento for about 2 years and I loved it out there. To bad you have to work. There’s a lot to see out there.
Thanks for the thoughts on FMom.
San Jose airport pretty small but that makes it really easy to get in and out of.
I’ve been to this area several times. I like it much better than SoCal but I didn’t have the time or energy to do anything this trip.
Well, I’m going to head off to dinner and then crash for the night.
Have a good one.
See ya Andi and hope you have a good night.
Hey, no one told me it was open! Anyone still around?
Andi must be beat; barely 6 pm on the West Coast and crashing.
Hiya ask.
I’m still here and serving 27 at a time.
Andi must be tired. I think it’s those conference room meeting that got to her.
Hey, FM!
Sorry, I totally got into a program at Discovery; Going Tribal – today’s episode from Western Papua. Very fascinating. I’ll have the 27 now, please.
Sure no problem. I’ve seen that show a couple of times before. It’s pretty good.
I wasn’t even aware of it, but always had an interest in this kind of adventure programming.
Wow, all these scandals being exposed makes me thirsty – and I think we’re just scratching the surface. A couple more, please.
Coming right up. Yeah I catch the program from time to time. Those guys that are doing the show really go to the extent with becoming one of the tribe.
I’m beat. Try to get some z’s now.
Hope FMom gets better with the medication.
Yeah I’m heading out too. Thanks for the FMom thoughts.
Hope you get over cold soon.
Good morning/evening everyone.
IT’S FRIDAY!!!!!!! Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy.
Hey there FM. I’ve been up since 4:30…yuck.
Morning SN.
So you’re getting an early start today. When I’m in my routine I like getting up early.
Did you get Mr. home safe and sound yesterday?
I don’t mind getting up early, provided I have actually slept. I do not like sleeping with another person and I’ve had two weeks of a bed to myself…now suddenly there is a large, snoring lump taking up 3/4 of the bed.
My niece was telling me yesterday that her husband had gone to a sleep clinic and that they had diagnosed him with sleep apnea. He has something now that he has to wear when he sleeps and it stops the snoring. She said she gets a full nights sleep and he said after two weeks, he’s never felt better.
You might want to check that out, or just get some ear plugs. 🙂
I’ve been thinking about having him do something about the snoring. If he’d lose some weight it would probably go away. Right now it sounds like he’s drowning in quicksand.
I agree about the weight, but my niece’s husband is far from being overweight. So even if he did loose, he might continue to snore.
Good morning, FM and SN!
Miserable, rainy day ahead – redeeming quality; it’s a Friday.
Yay for friday! Whatchoo and curly planning for the weekend?
No big plans; routine weekend, I’d say. curly visiting her mother (who is in assisted living) – one, or both asklets staying with me (the older one runs her own show, don’t know what her plans are, yet).
curly might agree with you re snoring partners…
Patience with snoring is proportionate to how well things are going, generally, I think. :/ Not so much for me and the mr.
I sort of used to think his snoring was cute!
Did Mr. get any good pictures?
he took a picture of a castle in prague through his hotel window. sheesh.
Well maybe Mr. doesn’t have your expertise. I told you awhile back you should start your own flower blog. You have some really amazing flower pictures.
Thanks, FM. I’ll have to start using the camera again.
Yeah I’m going to have to get my camera out soon. Gotta take more picture of the pond, and Andi wants me to take a hiking trip around it so I can show different angles. I trying to decide now on whether to take my backpack and tent. Walking around the pond is a long trip for me.
Don’t forget snake repellant and a machete.
As I was typing that, snakes were at the top of my mind. I was just thinking if I was on the other side of the pond and saw a snake, I might be able to pull of a miracle by running across water to get away from it. 🙂
I would love to see that, FM walking on water. Then you could wow the crowd by feeding thousands of relatives with only one jar of miracle whip. 😛
Or either turn the water into moonshine. 😛 back atcha.
May a plague of vipers invade your bed. 😛
Oh so we’re getting nasty now? 😛
with your high degree of adventureness. If only Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom was still around to film it. 😀
Are you the only one in CA who isn’t still in bed?
Well no — there are all those people who never went to sleep.
Good morning Andi.
Yep I ready to trek in the wilderness to get some good pictures. Marlon Perkins ain’t got nothing on me. Of course I’d have to have an assistant like Jim Fowler to go ahead of me and chase the snakes away. 🙂
I do happen to know of another JimF who’s good with snakes. Not sure he’s willing to brave Alabama, though.
but enough of your sexual escapades….
Well if he ever came down here, I’d would arrange safe passage. 😉
Sorry to hear, wasn’t sure whether snark was involved.
Snoring and cute in the same sentence (when talking of adults) – I don’t know…
You know at the beginning when you think everything is cute…
Morning ask.
We’re supposed to have sunny with a high of 78. I thought I would put the Friday comment above for all the employed people out there. 🙂
Are you about back to normal and over that cold?
Yup, though most of us do not require a reminder 😉
Cold is basically gone, though still coughing.
Good to hear about the cold.
I remember back in my working days, no one ever had to remind me about Friday is here. 🙂
That’s a wonderful picture in all it greenishness Andi.
Ooh, very pretty. Verdant, I’d say.
I was busy thinking about how to get myself a sexual escapade at 4:30 a.m. in California.
Either that or was I thinking I’d go take a shower.
Hate to run, but I gotta go. I’m trying to get an early start on things around here today.
Everyone have a good day in the pond.
This guy is one hell of a juggler. Juggling to the sounds of the Beatles.
Enjoy……
Evening FM.
Good evening Olivia.
Are you enjoying the start of your long weekend?
have been doing a lot of nothing … getting myself ready to do even more nothing … 😉
getting myself ready to do even more nothing …
That sounds like a zen koan to me. 🙂
What’s up at Casa FMan tonight … how’s FMom?
Nothing much going on here tonight. FMom is feeling better after two days of antibiotics.
and
It has been a very slackerly day. 😉
Always good to know the master stays true to form … :~)
Whatcha got planned for the w/e?
It’s going to be a very slackerly weekend too. If anything I’ll finish up on cleaning the house. Doing anything to the lawn is out.
Gotta go. It’s past my bedtime and I’m already nodding at the computer.
Have a good night in the pond.
Hey there! Welcome back to EDT and the woods.
Hey there back. I’m creaking from hours sitting in planes but happy to be home.
Would it kill them to leave out a couple of rows of seats or do they have to cram them in like sardines? That’s half the reason I hate to think about a flight of more than 2 hours.
Yeah, I’d say that planes are the new buses but buses are probably more comfortable than planes.
I’m being informed that I need to go for a walk in the woods.
See ya later.
Good morning Andi and SN.
Andi it’s good to see you made it home safe.
Good morning, FM – you’re looking fabulous.
I might look fabulous, but I’m feeling very sleepy.
How’re you today?
I’m great – the weather is awesome and I’ve got two boys home for the weekend, so maybe there will be yardwork involved. The Mr. leaves tomorrow for Orlando.
When the boys get through there, send them down here.
As far as the travel part went, it was a miracle trip — four flights and all of them on time.
You did luck out. On time no less. 🙂
See ya’ll a little later. I’m almost falling asleep in the chair.
That’s what you said last night too … 😉
Morning all, and welcome home Andi.
