Pacha only loses to her Mama, and even then, not by much.
Imogen says the difference is that Nina’s stare says “give me what I want or there’ll be spitting”, and Pacha’s stare says “give me what I want ‘cuz I’m so cute”.
Ah, the American Oppossum. In all the years I’ve dealt with them, I’ve yet to see on “play possum”. Instead, much as with the mama possum in yout photo, I’ve always been treatened with lots of hissing and those very sharp teeth.
My first born. This catagory stems from the fact that I am a second (youngest) child, and my family has about two dozen photos of me in my first two years – mostly taken at birthdays, christmas and the like. This contrast with the hundreds of photos of my sister from a similar timeframe.
In my parent’s defense, the deficit is largely due to the fact that my aunt, a professional photographer, moved from California to Alaska four months before I was born.
I’m a middle child. There are dozens and dozens of pictures of my older and younger sisters but 6 of me. My mother explained to me that the camera was broken.
This is a polaroid photo transfer I made during my University degree days. The original is a slide taken of my sister and I back in 1964(?). I’m the blond, and huge for my age.
While looking for the above image, I found this photo of a Spotted Quoll (also known as the Tiger Quoll and the Spotted-tail Quoll) that I’d forgotten I had.
Quolls are sometimes called “Native Cats”. Thisone was in a wildlife park. As they are nocturnal, the only wild one I’ve seen was at night.
Bu’s started doing the Pacha thing, whenever l point the cam anywhere near her she comes over and sticks her nose in it…makes it hard to take a decent pic of her, unless she’s pre-occupied.
so here’s a pic of our neighbour Sam….somehow got out of the fence and w/ t-strms approaching really wanted back inside… clik
a stare-down at your place.
Meanwhile back at the woods … well, actually nothing except a nice morning.
The woods are lovely, as usual.

I believe that Pacha has the best strategy (at least this is what Sniff tells me).
It works for Imogen as well.
Hey – where’s my boyfriend?
Aww!
the way those two trees are curving in … lol, hopeful looks so cute here
Hi Keres,
Pacha does have that, “I’ll spit in you eye look.” 🙂
Alpacas are the smallest member of the camel family and they share all the familial traits.
Speaking of camels, check out “Weeping Camel” from your video rental place.
sort of …

LOL. You may or may not have lucked out in that event.
My sister is actually a fairly slim woman, but she was a three-chin baby and a chubby toddler, and I doubt that she’s happy to have all the reminders.
I, of course, was a perfectly adorable child. 😉
but I was kinda cute … if you go for cross-eyed, chubby kids who drool.
Now that’s the Andi I know, cute as can be. 🙂

You’re both cuties and I love the setting but I have to admit the quoll is way cuter than all of us.
Agreed.
Although, like most of the carnivorous marsupials, the busness end (i.e. a mouth full of really sharp teeth) underminds the cute factor a wee bit.
I’m hearing the theme music from Little House on the Prairie.
The “prairie” full of California poppies is in the foothills above Sacramento.
