You should go and read the last few of Anonymous Liberal’s posts re: Alberto Gonzales. Both of you are starting to get it right, I think. On his latest post I left a log-ass comment to help him along, which you have already read most of (cut-n-paste.) Bottom line – don’t entirely believe what you read from WaPo and NYT today on this. They got leaked some selective info, some of which is bogus, in order to help Abu G.

Especially because we’re already seeing the usual suspects puke up the GOP Talking Points: saying not only does this “prove Gonzo was telling the truth technically” but that the “whole perjury circus was actually cover to leak more details of NSA programs to Al Qaeda”.
The Serious Beltway Pundit Talking Heads will no doubt straighten this whole misunderstanding with Gonzo out by Tuesday. He didn’t lie, he was protecting America!

And speaking of wankery, I take a crack at deconstructing a magic act here with Cap’n Ed and David Ignatius on the stage, pulling talking points out of their asses.
OK- if the report is correct and the chimp is planning to sell the saudis billions in military materials the I guess that he is simply telling us all- fuck you!
Again- “if” being the operative word- it is now in the hands of the proverbial “Other Team.”
So let us see- 25 billions for the bushie buddies while vetoing the S-Chip!
