How many protesters will the Washington police arrest for civil disobedience today? All those who plan to participate in the die-in organized by Veterans for Peace (VFP) and Iraq Veterans Against the War (IVAW) at the Capitol? And will anyone in the media cover those arrests and/or the antiwar march and rally that will accompany the action by the VFP and IVAW?

If the last several marches are any indication, there will be little or no coverage of the march, and whent here is, equal time will be given to the 10 pro-war attendees as to the thousands of anti-war protestors.

Not too long ago I discovered Opiniojuris, an internationalist law blog, which I am very fond of. Today there is a post by Kevin Jon Heller, who is one of my favorite there. He wrote about an al-Jazeera cameraman,Sami al-Haj, who is a Guantanamo detenee. One of the comments is a link to a petition to free him. Please sign the petition.
Yesterday C & L had a link to the story about McConnell’s recent erroneous claims. The actual MSNBC article was entitled “Spy Master Admits Error”. I thought that sounded like a title for a movie or a video game. Apparently, I wasn’t too far off.
