For some inane reason, the White House failed to fully evaluate the Defense Authorization Bill. Buried in the bill is a provision allowing those injured by the former Iraqi government to sue the current government. Apparently, had this bill enacted, the current Iraqi government would be likely to pull billions out of US banks, not a pretty thought in the current climate.
So, now that Bush and his incompetent morons are about to veto a wildly popular Defense Authorization Bill. What to do, what to do?
This is the time to impose the withdrawal timetable. Finally, the Bush Administration has their backs against the wall, and they have no one to blame but themselves.
Call your senator on Monday, and tell him/her to pin Bush against the wall. I will call Durbin/Obama, and urge that they use this wonderful error by Bush to turn around the situation.
