Here’s a little something for you, from UN Secretary Dag Hammarskjold:
Tired
And lonely,
So tired
The heart aches.
Meltwater trickles
Down the rocks,
The fingers are numb,
The knees tremble.
It is now,
Now, that you must not give in.
On the path of the others
Are resting places,
Places in the sun
Where they can meet.
But this
Is your path,
And it is now,
Now, that you must not fail.
Weep
If you can,
Weep,
But do not complain.
The way chose you–
And you must be thankful.
Idredit: Hope it happen before tomorrow. I live in Raleigh, and every time I see one of her ads on tv, I just switch channels quickly. Wish Obama would come up with a counter-ad to that gas tax elimination farce she and McCain are pushing.
“Hillary Clinton must have been hoping we Hoosiers have short memories,” Ed Dixon of Valparaiso, Ind., said in a letter to a local newspaper after a recent Clinton visit. “Her husband was president at the time and allowed this to happen.”
“They would have us believe Bush was behind this sale,” added Fred Sliger of Valparaiso in another letter, “when in fact the Clinton administration rubber-stamped this along with the sale of numerous other high-tech secrets to the Chinese. … Let’s get the facts straight.”
I am gradually coming to the view that the Clinton strategy is to elect McCain in 2008.
You can only tell lies like this when the media has been brought on board and agrees to cover for them. It hasn’t.
Btw – that’s the big chink in Hillary’s supporters’ armor. They really hate having to defend her lies. That’s the one point of agreement we reach pretty quickly.
It looks like Barack is going to get some very good press on this gas tax thing. McCain and Clinton are being denounced universally for it, from what I’ve read. I think it has also put a chink in St John’s armor. Strange that such a small issue could do so.
My first thought is that panda’s mom and dad took him or her to one of those department store photography studios, and the tree stump is one of the props they had available. After this, little panda will be posed adoably on the white wicker chair…maybe with a doll or a toy to hold.
Pshaw! I only steal his login to make fart jokes. Besides, I love this primary! I only wish it could go on forever. It’s made the internet so much less stupid than it used to be.
I’ve always found James Spader somewhat creepy. I’ve never been able to put my finger on why.

My sixty year-old Republican sister loves Spader. I have made it a quest to watch every bad movie he has ever been in. Just got another one from Netflix today.
WEll, she hasn’t gotten neck tucks, face or eye lifts. You think being a naturally aging woman over 60 looks terrible… I won’t break the Don’t Be A Jerk Rule by telling you what I think of you for saying that.
Yes! What is Hillary still in the race for anyway? The House supers have already decided to go with Obama three to two in his favor. He’s won the states, the pledged delegates and the popular vote. So why is Hillary still running? She’s like a nightmare Energizer bunny. As Jon Stewart said, she’ll still be running after Obama is in the White House.

But she won’t be running across the White House lawn.
Here’s a little something for you, from UN Secretary Dag Hammarskjold:
Be thankful, BooMan!
Cease and Desist Order issued against those Robo Calls in North Carolina and there is more.
Wouldn’t it be lovely – what the AG’s investigations will uncover….the people behind WVWV. Women’s Voices Women Vote. You’d never believe.
TalkLeft: Is it against the law to try to register single women?!?!!
Clintons..the lies never stop.

the whole Clinton gang are in for huge embarrassment – see my link upthread on those Robo calls in North Carolina.

I’m in Raleigh too and I have the same reaction to the Clinton commercials…
I thought he was running one of those in Indiana. Wonder why it isn’t running in NC?
Obama’s counter Ad should be on your TV screen just about now
My favorite part:

Please don’t throw the Panda under the bus!
It’s half black and half white like Barack.
zing!
oooh you’re good. 🙂
That panda is clinging to the stump. He/she must be some kind of tree-hugging elitist.
It’s just panda-ing to the environmental groups.
Who put the quarter in you tonight??
You have to see this political cartoon. LOL
http://www.cagle.com/news/HillaryUnderFire/main.asp
Click through the lot of them and make sure to scroll down as there are 2-3 per page. Gems, every one of them.
When O’Reilly showed her the cartoon, she replied:
‘I’m running for the toughest job in the world. And it goes with the territory.’

Small issue?

Oh you me The Picture Pandas.
And here I thought that the panda had wandered into a bamboo forest bar and was waiting for his drink to be served.
Chris? Did you steal BooMan’s log in?
That panda looks like he (or she, I can’t tell) is saying “Bartender, line ’em up right here.”
Bamboo shots, straight up, keep ’em coming.
Pshaw! I only steal his login to make fart jokes. Besides, I love this primary! I only wish it could go on forever. It’s made the internet so much less stupid than it used to be.
Anyone watching Boston Legal? It’s about Clinton/Obama and pledged vs. superdelegates.
Yep. That show is getting beyond silly.
Oh, I love it. I sense a big summation from James Spader.
There’s always a rant near the end from James Spader that expresses my outrage much better than I can.
Yep. I think most of his closing arguments are on YouTube.
I’ve always found James Spader somewhat creepy. I’ve never been able to put my finger on why.

I just turned it on. Is that Candace Bergen? She looks terrible.
WEll, she hasn’t gotten neck tucks, face or eye lifts. You think being a naturally aging woman over 60 looks terrible… I won’t break the Don’t Be A Jerk Rule by telling you what I think of you for saying that.
No it wasn’t age – she looked puffy. Like she wasn’t well.
She does that a lot.
Panda sez: “Campaign too long. Kill me now.”

Now we have heard it from the horse’s mouth:
“Rich people, God bless us. We deserve all the opportunities to make sure our country and our blessings continue until the next generation.”
