Wow, he musta spent big bucks for a blogspot blog. < snickering >
Hey, don’t knock blogspot. It’s where my blog is and it is cheap. LOL I actually like Robert Reich’s blog.
It’s where mine is too. I’m just surprised that Reich is there.
He knows a good deal when he sees it. LOL
waiting for Paul Krugman to deny he’s a member of the elite club.
btw, Hillary Gas Tax holiday has consequences:
— the Friends of the Earth Group that previously endorsed Edwards announced support for Obama
Friends of the Earth Action cites senator’s stand for real energy solutions instead of sham Clinton-McCain `gas tax holiday’ as key reason for endorsement
I ran my first 5K today. Did not die doing it and will probably do another, soon.
Congratulations! I spent the day running after my 9 year old.
I was running up to mile 2 and the real runners were heading toward the finish line. I looked over to see a group of 8 kids like 6 – 11 years old in matching gear. Man. Do you know what that did to my morale? I wanted to push them in the ocean. They were lucky we weren’t that close to the water…and I didn’t have the energy. HA!
Congrats, fabooj. My knees don’t run anymore, but I walked a few miles today. Just gotta keep moving.
Wow! Very cool, Fabooj! Where was it?
Along Main St. and then down Ocean Blvd. I did so much better than I expected, now I want to run the Brentwood one in a couple of weeks. Sadly, I don’t have $28 for the entry fee, LOL!
Wow. Too bad I wasn’t out there today – might have seen you. I try to get to the beach on the weekends. Or did, before this campaign started!
I was out being interviewed for a documentary called “The Searchers” about people who study the Kennedy assassination, by a filmmaker from North Carolina. It was fun to hear of Obamania there. He’s from a city that’s 90% Democratic. Must be NICE!
Hmmm, 90% Democratic, Carrboro?
Hillary may have a particularly big job on our hands because the voters she is seeking are the rightwingers who have had it with her over the years. She is a symbol of everything they hate in Liberals.
This is why she is bending over backwards to show she is one of them, whether it is gun ownership or bombing Iran back to the stone age or downing whiskey with the boys. Now she wants to give away discount gas to the pick up truck crowd, who couldn’t care less about the
economic theories involved.
I would say Hillary is a smart woman. How many voters would be influenced by what Reich says?
She might be smart, politically. But, as a matter of policy, she’s a nut case. There’s really no other term for it. Cutting the gas tax, thereby transferring that revenue from Washington to Exxon, is a psychotic idea. Nuking Iran — again, an endorsement of genocide — is a psychotic idea, opening a door that should never be opened. Even if she’s just being a politician, it remains psychotic to say that. She’s a nut case.
Nuking Iran for Exxon.
These people are looking at H. Clinton and going, wow, she’s just like us! But they’ve had 16 years to “know” her and she’s proven without a doubt that she isn’t. So exactly who are they voting for here? The ooga-booga scary LIBERAL that they’ve built up or this cross-dressed version of RumsfeldBush who just happened to show up on Feb. 6th and only got worse after losing 12 primaries/caucuses in a row?
Which one of them will be the president? I don’t think it’s a stretch to see her like B. Clinton who presented a liberal Democrat front to liberals and black people, while parroting GOP framing to news organizations and everyone else. His brand of leadership showed that he wasn’t about Democrats, liberal or otherwise. What’s to say that H. Clinton won’t govern the same way? Nothing in most of her votes proves that she’ll uphold liberal, let alone progressive* values.
*You’ll remember that last summer, she kept touting how big a progressive she is, like saying it would erase her votes and stances. IIRC, she hasn’t mention progressiveness since the Jan. 30 debates. She’s a completely different candidate now.

I hope Larry Johnson is not welcomed back after the primaries. What he and Susan and others are writing at NoQuarter is right out of Karl Rove’s playbook. Really disgusting stuff that makes me wish they’d quit pretending to be Democrats, since they clearly don’t share our values.
Take a look, if you can stomach it.

Tin hats out.
I suspect that Larry Johnson is on assignment from his old job. He’s on the Option B assignment. If McCain loses, better he loses to Hillary. Option B.
They make me laugh. The other day someone did a cartoon of Obama driving a bus over people. It was funny.
I just checked again…I love the one about what the GOP will be using against Obama.
Clinton supporters been giving the GOP ideas THAT DON’T WORK.
Didn’t they use Obama ads against the guy in Louisiana?
Voters aren’t as stupid and hateful as some believe.
