Venturing to the Valley of the Sun, where it’s supposed to live up to its name at over 110 degrees both days. Blech….
Selling sorbet in Oakland, and continuing to make graphics for begich.com. Exciting!
Well… I’m getting my “before” photo taken. I got chosen to participate in an infomercial for Nutrifit. The food designed to help you lose weight while eating fresh food and balanced meals, etc. The owner is a nutrionist AND a cordon bleu chef, so I’m pretty dang excited. 😉
I’m getting free food for the next 13 weeks. If I am the ‘biggest loser’ I may get some additional weeks. We’ll see.
WISH ME LUCK!!!!!
Wow, good luck. Hmmm, now I am having second thoughts about eating yet another brownie…
(I have weight I’d like to lose, but low willpower + brownies = BAD NEWS)
I don’t know – I saw brownies on the list of food – maybe if they’re low-carb/low-fat you can do it..! 😉
best of luck! if you need some extra motivation on a daily basis, bootribber katiebird runs Eat4Today – a few of us haunt that site regularly to provide encouragement.
Thanks – I’ll definitely check it out!
Saturday is WWKIP Day…what to do, what to do. 😉
(Who am I kidding, I’ll still be trying to figure out how to get that lovely smell out of the car…)
is it the carpet? have you tried that OxyClean stuff?
I pulled the affected carpeting out of the back, hosed it down, and it’s still airing out.
I think the 100-degree heat may have baked the smell into the car interior. It’s gotten tolerable for driving with the windows down, but it’s definitely not back to normal yet.
I have the charcoal adsorber thingy coming in the mail, and I quess I need to have the upholstery cleaned too. It may wind up being time for a new car , though. And there won’t be any trade-in value left in this car with that smell. oy.
How about an Indiana folk remedy for really bad odors? Get a pound of cheap ground coffee, open it and leave in the car for a few days. Its supposed to absorb the odor.
I might try that next.
greeley blues fest. forecast is for Sunny, with a high near 89. West wind between 9 and 11 mph. and lot’s of music.
sunscreen and a hat are required.
later
That sounds soooo fun!!! But yes – bring that sunscreen. Saw my skin under ultraviolet recently – the sun does a LOT of damage!!
Hot tunes and a cooling breeze. Sounds just about perfect.
working my ass off….there is no recession in the sex industry and i have been slacking lately….im going to find a second apt in florida so i can visit more and stay longer….some little florida cottage by the dog beach in venice sounds good to me.
What am I doing this weekend? What am I doing this summer? School is out and the kiddles are home.
Oh and thanks for all of that valuable insight about why Obama and any peaceniks are wrong about Iraq from the “assistant online editor of COMMENTARY.”
Starting my trip west (from Syracuse, NY) next Thursday. Anyone know how Interstate 80 is through Iowa and Nebraska? Devas to the fore and take care of that weather — as you always do on my trips to the Pacific Ocean. (Big Sur, 45 miles south of Monterey, the Esalen Institute. No doubt a time for miracles once again.)
Relax, rejoice, go barefoot.
