BALUCHISTAN (Pak-Iran border) – In another sign of growing tensions with the United States, Pakistan is threatening to turn over to Iran six members of a tribal militant group Iran claims are “spies” for the CIA.
The group, Jundullah, operates in Baluchistan on both sides of the border between Iran and Pakistan and has carried out a number of violent attacks on Iranian army facilities and officers inside the country.
The CIA has denied any direct ties with the group, but U.S. officials tell ABC News U.S. intelligence officers frequently meet and advise Jundullah leaders, and current and former intelligence officers are working to prevent the men from being sent to Iran.

Iranian officials claimed this week that the U.S. had “a hand” in an April 12 bomb attack at a mosque in Shiraz that killed 14 people, according to Mehr News Agency, quoting Iranian Intelligence Minister Gholam-Hossein Mohseni Ejei.
ISLAMABAD (ABC News) May 23, 2008 – A Pakistan-based militant group claimed it had kidnapped 16 Iranian border security personnel and threatened to kill them if 200 of its activists jailed by Tehran were not released.
A spokesman for Jundullah (Army of Allah), Maulvi Abdul Rauf, said that his group had kidnapped 28 Iranian border security personnel. Rauf said 12 Iranian personnel had been freed and 16 were still in Jundullah’s custody, Aaj TV reported.
Jundullah is a militant group based in Balochistan and is believed to be behind Baloch insurgency in Pakistan and in Iran’s Sistan and Baluchistan provinces. The group has been identified as a terrorist organisation by Iran and Pakistan. Some believe the group is also linked to Al Qaida.
Rauf, who spoke to reporters in Quetta Press Club over phone from an undisclosed location, demanded the release of up to 200 Jundullah activists held in Iranian jails in exchange of the kidnapped Iranian border guards.
DUBAI (AFP) June 20, 2008 – An Iranian Sunni Muslim rebel group claims to have executed two of 16 Iranian border police it says it kidnapped last week, Al-Arabiya television reported.
The Dubai-based news channel aired a brief film showing two men blindfolded and kneeling in front of a masked armed man, and said they had subsequently been executed.
An image grab taken from footage broadcast yesterday on Al Arabiya news channel purportedly shows two kidnapped Iranian security workers.
The television said the victims, identified as an Iranian a commander and his deputy, had been shot, but it did not air the reported execution.
A spokesman for the Jundallah (Soldiers of God) rebels said the men were killed in retaliation for the execution last week by Iranian authorities of two members of the group, Al-Arabiya added.
In response to a question about persistent rumours in the Middle East that Israel was involved in the 9/11 attacks, Zawahiri said the rumour had begun on the Hezbollah television station, Al-Manar.
“The purpose of this lie is clear – [to suggest] that there are no heroes among the Sunnis who can hurt America as no-one else did in history, he said.
“Iranian media snapped up this lie and repeated it.”
Zawahiri went on to criticise Iran for co-operating with the US in its 2001 invasion of Afghanistan, that helped to oust the Taleban.
“Iran’s aim here is also clear – to cover up its involvement with America in invading the homes of Muslims in Afghanistan and Iraq.”
President Bush and Israel can blame terror attacks inside Iran on … puppet Al Qaeda!
"But I will not let myself be reduced to silence."
