I’m not the biggest Bela Fleck and the Flecktones fan, but while in music school (studying double bass) they played at our school. Victor Wooten sat in on our studio/master class held every Thursday (the day of the show, coincidentally.) Not only is the man unbe-fucking-lievably talented; he’s incredibly insightful when it comes to giving criticism (the whole point of playing for a master class or your studio is to perform in front of your peers and have them and the teacher rip you to pieces) and a damn nice guy.
