While Hillary Clinton acts all noble and shit in the Pepsi Center, I’m in … um … Idaho Falls, Idaho.
I’d like to say I’m heading home because once it became apparent that the media frame of Clintonites tearing limbs off Obama delegates was more hype than fact, I was so bitterly disappointed that I couldn’t take any more. But the truth is much more boring. I got really sick starting yesterday morning (well before anyone named Clinton took the stage), and owing to some risks of medical complications, I decided to take an uncharacteristically prudent (albeit difficult) course of action and drive back to Seattle.
My Washington state colleagues Goldy and Darryl at HorsesAss.org are, of course, holding down the Denver fort admirably in my absence. I had to console myself this afternoon with the Grand Tetons.
Thanks for your previous posts—and get well soon!
As someone who has been to a Democratic Convention AND the Grand Tetons, you easily got the better end of the stick. Hope you took some of that clean air home with you.
I hope you are better soon. And I’d definitely take the Grand Tetons as consolation over most other things.
the Tetons are a fabulous consolation.
stay safe!
UGH, so sorry to hear that. Take it easy and get well soon.
