Uh, let me know if there is any reason McCain would not pick someone else if given the opportunity.

Perhaps McCain is keeping his options open. How else to explain why his signs in my neck of the VT woods doesn’t include Palin: just John McCain.

The same is true in my neck of the woods – what few McCain signs there are.
OTOH, our Obama signs don’t have Biden – not sure why that is. Maybe we got materials from the primary?
I’m working at an Obama office, and our latest batch of yard signs went like hotcakes until all we had left were a few old pre-Biden ones. That’s what’s probably going on in your neck of the woods, too.

Unlikely, but possible.
McCain probably isn’t spending any resources on Vermont, considering it a lost cause for his campaign – ergo the old signs. I don’t see much here in Kentucky either, likely for the same reason inverted – no need to spend resources on a state that you already own.

there’s something very strange going on in the mcstain/palin campaign. she’s canceling appearances right and left…the most recent one here in colo…from ColoradoPols:
l can understand them giving up on california…sorta…but colorado? it’s up for grabs.
something’s not quite right here.
1. Sarah needs to cram–big time!–for debates. They are taking her to a secret undisclosed location to be prepped. (Or maybe they need to fit her for the wire Bush wore in his debates.
OR
2. McCain is really getting pissed about her popularity. The final insult was yesterday when she slipped (?) and called it a Palin-McCain ticket.
