The cynic in me is saying that it might actually earn him some votes in certain demographics that he traditionally has trouble with.
GOP candidates downticket from McCain have gotta be scared shitless. The top of the Republican ticket is such a disaster that a lot of extra House and Senate and Governor’s races are going to go to Democrats.

Does McCain’s war wound make it difficult for him to shake hands?
No. I read somewhere that he can’t lift his arms above shoulder height, which explained the very odd arm patting going on when he met Bristol Palin and her now future husband, but does not explain not shaking hands.
It dates back to his POW days.
But that’s not what the handshake was about, unless they were high-fiving or something.
He shook hands just fine during their intro.

NO. McCain doesn’t like Obama. Obama is more than willing to smile, look at McCain, shake McCain’s hand and call him by name. Period.
I don’t know. I bet neither of them likes the other at all, but Obama is willing to be diplomatic about it. Which speaks to one of their major differences in outlook in general.
Its like them saying both sides are so negative. Give me a break Obama only tries to respond to attacks on his character. While McCain is running a campaign based on attacking Obama’s character.

Why would he want a town hall meeting when he hates everyone except possibly well made up trollops? Some old soldiers never die they just grow senile and angry in front of a whole nation.
He is so thin skinned he could not even shake Obama’s hand after a debate? Is McCain for real or is this some sort of horror movie with a reanimated corpse running for president? WTF?
McSame’s contempt for Obama is so obvious I wonder why Obama doesn’t call him on it. And that’s what it is, contempt. Pure, Bush/Cheney “I am your overlord so shut the f*ck up in my presence” contempt.
He had contempt for everyone in that room, Brokaw included. I can almost see the thought balloon overhead: “I can’t believe THAT ONE is beating me.”
McCain isn’t fit to serve anywhere. President, Senate not even mayor of Wasilla, Alaska.
His campaign is pointing it out. But he can’t point it out on stage, I think. It’s one of those things that sounds a little petty if he made a point of it in a debate, but it’s perfect fodder for ads, campaign memes.
