Can we pass a law against campaigning for 2012 before Obama is even sworn in?

It seems to me that Sarah Palin started campaigning for 2012 before the 2008 election.
When these pundits feebly attempt to characterize how “The Left” feels or what their opinions are about Obama’s cabinet and such, can they try to actually ask people who represent that opinion?
Another question: The Dems won the election, so why do I have to hear about what people like Mitt Romney have to say (or Troy McClure, since he’s always selling dog shit)? How is that loser’s opinion even relevant? He lost the primary, and his party lost (again) in November.
could it be because “we’re not seious persons”?
or is it like greenwald says:
you pays your money, you makes your choice.
True. They can’t even be bothered with those who are center left. That would be a start.
Henry Waxman just became chair of the Commerce Committee. I’d imagine he’d have something to say about the issues of the day.
I’m listening to today’s yak-yak shows on CSpan radio while I’m cleaning up, and of course it’s such a joke. Wolf Blizter, in announcing a segment billed as learning what people having experience with economic policy think about our crappy economy, featured Robert Reich (good) and Steve Forbes.
Steve Forbes? Mr. Wide-Eyed-Without-a-Blink?? Seriously? What experience does he have with economic policy? He is a hack publisher who only got the job based on his last name.
And all this talk that Obama is being a “pragmatist” and not “moving to the left” and such. Again, seriously? When we have been governed by the far right for 8 years, governing “from the center” means he has moved left. Where the hell else can he go?
((sigh)) Well, back to work. I’m going to turn off Cspan radio and do what anyone else with any sense would have done long ago:
Turn on a football game.
You mean that there is a time when politicians aren’t campaigning for some future date?
to stop campaigning now that he’s been elected.
Bush was on a permanent campaign from the day he was selected in 2000. His events all had a bunch of citizens standing behind him – or members of the military – or 15 huge American flags – or all of the above.
Obama should have the confidence to face the American people alone.
Without even a flag lapel pin.
“can we pass a law?”…Naw, right now we are too busy throwing the domestic auto industry under the bus to worry about political campaign reform. BTW, once one or two or all of the ” Big Three” goes belly up, don’t be surprised if your employer is next on the list.
