Damn Straight!
If the decision to tap Warren for the invocation wasn’t so ridiculously political to the point of being ham-fisted it would be one thing. But this is about a subtle as Rick Warren’s own bigotry.
Evangelicals are not going to like anything Obama does anyway, unless there’s an untapped wellspring of millions of anti-gay, anti-evolution, anti-thought Democrats out there under a rock just waiting to go “Well, Obama’s an alright guy then if he wants Rick Warren there.”
Every now and then, Obama is too pragmatic for his own good. This is one of those times.
