The New York Football Giants have secured the number one seed in the National Football Conference playoffs. If God wants to prove that he exists, he will assure that the G-Men advance to the Super Bowl.

If Eli Manning can win another Super Bowl, that would be fine by me. He’d put his idiot brother to shame once again, and that’s a good thing.
The absence of God is more likely a sign of the Giants winning a Super Bowl. Everyone knows Gotham is the modern Sodom and Gomorrah.
😉
you’re not convincing me, Steven.
Funny, I thought God had something to do with the Niners pulling out that win in the 4th quarter against the Rams.
He must go to an early service on Sunday and be home in time to watch the East Coast games. Maybe he TIVOs those talking head shows on the networks and works through them back and forth with the pre-game shows. I sometimes wonder if God believes in the wisdom of Howie Long. I bet God has an awesome Man Cave.
I hope God doesn’t drink Coors Light. I believe that God drinks Anchor Steam. Or Guinness.
If God drinks Coors Light then I want to go to hell.
Two of the best football games that I have watched in recent years have involved the Giants: the last superbowl and yesterday’s classic. Both very fine teams, and only a couple of penalties. As to the Divinity being involved, I dunno. (S)He likes courage, determination and imagination. Both squads had that, so it ended up in a tie. But, Jason Tuck hanging in there with the flu was just outstanding. Edge to the Giants.
The issue of God and sports was decided last year when the Giants won.
That was proof positive that Satan had finally achieved his goal of pulling God down and replacing him at the top.
We are all so fucked.
nalbar
Satan is a Cowboys fan.
I thought the hole in the Texas stadium roof was so God could watch His team.
Say, Nailbar,do you live in Boston by any chance?
Nope!
San Diego, where the Chargers are dominating the west with a 8-7 record. Way to go Norv!
nalbar (no ‘i’, but I am pleased you made the connection)
Nalbar–sorry about my misspelling.
Don’t forget that the Giants victory in the Super Bowl last year was essentially karmic payback for their having lost to the Baltimore Ravens way back in 2001 in Super Bowl XXXV. You might recall that the Ravens had backed into the playoffs as a wild card team, just as the Giants did last year.
The Ravens weren’t playing what might be called the “team of the decade” in the 2007 Patriots team, but getting to any Superbowl is still pretty impressive. The Giants certainly played their Super Bowl in 2001 with more intensity than the Patriots seemed to show in their loss last year.
Of course, if the Giants were to face the Patriots again this year in the Super Bowl, the Giants will likely lose. Like the Patriots last year, the Giants have looked increasingly flat as the season has progressed. The mandela just keeps turning.
What, last year wasn’t enough? Now, THAT was a miracle (grin)…
