As we all have, I have been watching the IDF assault on Gaza over the last few days. And from what I can tell, it is exactly like shooting fish in a barrel.
I have often been critical of the IDF for their military exercises in the Gaza Strip. Does anyone remember Jenin? The likes of the Weekly Standard claims there was no massacre and that mostly combatants were killed. Well, the photos that are now available of the military attack on the refugee camp shows a different story – men and women laying dead over dead children, in the streets and in their homes. The photos revealed dozens of bodies being buried under the hospital parking lot. Of the hundreds of photos available, there is only one that was a Palestinian combatant. Was it a massacre? You tell me. But this wasn’t the only time the IDF’s response to terrorism was overreaching. There was a terrorist the IDF wanted killed, so they waited until he returned home and dropped a 2000 pound bomb on the whole apartment building. What was their answer for killing a single terrorist standing at a bus stop? Kill everyone else at the bus stop with a helicopter gunship.
There isn’t ONE sniper in the whole of the Israeli Defense Force?
Lastly, I wished people would separate the Israel Knesset from Judaism – they are totally different things.
Yes, Hamas needs to stop the shelling. Yes, Bush hasn’t done jack-shit for Middle Eastern peace and yes, Israel needs to rethink the Palestinian issue. It is an issue they will need to live with and they need to come up with a way where they can live with it. As it is, no one is living the life of peace.
Hi stormbear, ‘shooting fish in a barrel’ is the phrase that has been running through my mind from the beginning of this carnage.
They claim they killed another hamas leader the other day with the same method…dropping a one ton bomb on a 4 story apartment building and yes killing him plus his family and I’m not sure how many others. To say nothing of leaving many homeless with the apartment building destroyed.
Does Israel actually think if they could kill every single Hamas person that another group wouldn’t rise up in it’s place?

Just maybe, someday the truth will be common knowledge:

And the soldiers were muzzled for years about it.
Funny you mention Jenin.
That’s when I first knew Jay Elias was a troll. He insisted that the Jenin massacre was all a lie.
He was IDF on assignment. Giving a “human” face to the IDF, just like Hollywood’s latest propaganda piece/movie on the IDF soldier.
“There isn’t ONE sniper in the whole of the Israeli Defense Force? …”
There are plenty of snipers, but they are used for killing eleven-year-old schoolgirls who are running from classroom to classroom (they must be terrorist messengers, dontcha know?).
If ever a group could lose my sympathy, it has been Israelis & their supporters over the last 20 years.
It isn’t only the last 20 years that Israel has been this way, it’s just that it’s only been in the last 20 years that they have been gradually losing the ability to hide it from people.
Hurria, you might know. I know I have read some Jewish sects consider goyim animals. But it seems at least one internet site has deleted it. Do you which sects say this?
I have heard that too, but for the moment I cannot pull up the details from my long-term memory.
I tend not to put a lot of energy into finding out and remembering that level of negative stuff. Every human group has its share of poisonous wack jobs, after all.
I’ll see if I can remember and if I do I will let you know.
It’s the only thing that could justify shooting children in the head.
I found this nut
“Jewish blood and a goy’s [gentile’s] blood are not the same.” Israeli Rabbi Yitzhak Ginsburg, Inferring that killing isn’t murder if the victim is Gentile. Jerusalem Post, June 19,1989.
Judge proposes Rabbi Ginsburg retract inciteful statements
Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court Judge Noam Solberg on
Wednesday proposed that Rabbi Yitzhak Ginsburg
explicitly and publicly retract his offensive
statements about Arabs, in return for an end to
all criminal proceedings against him.
Ginsburg, a member of the Chabad Lubavitch Hasidic movement, and a former head of a yeshiva in the West Bank city of Nablus, was indicted in July on charges of encouraging racism against Arabs in his book, “Tsav Hasha’a – Tipul Shoresh” (“Order of the Day – Radical
Treatment”), which was published in 2001.
<snip>
Among others, the charges cite a conversation in the book between Ginsburg and a student. The student asks: “So an Arab has no right to exist in Israel?” Ginsburg replies: “Here in the Land of Israel, he has no right.”

That guy Ginsberg is a certifiable wack job for sure. And yeah, that’s the group – the Lubavitchers.
Same people that got it in Mumbi.
I am sure you know that the majority of Zionists were secular people, even atheists, and yet they shot children in the head, and committed other atrocities against children. Today the majority of Israelis are secular, not religious, and they shoot children in the head on a regular basis. You know that stats during the two Intifadas when the majority of the hundreds of children they killed and many they wounded were shot in the head or the chest.
So, it seems that being a religious wack job is not required for someone to be willing to shoot children in the head.
I’m aware.
I have been reading for years that the IDF has been taken over by settlers types. And that a lot of the settlers that left Gaza are now the ones helping to invade Gaza.
