Hey to those of us who don’t want her at State (no, it doesn’t have to do with the Primary), it’s nice to see some dissent.
Pointless dissent is still pointless.
True that. Luckily no one should wait for anyone else to see the point if they are right. The leading edge cuts, etc.
Is the plan to go all bizarro Fox news now that “we’ve” got power?
You think calling Afghanistan a narco-state was a good first move?
I am not concerned about Cornyn’s argument at all. I’m concerned about her because ability and execution are two things. One she has in spades, the other, I just don’t see it when it counts.
I say promote her out of the way ASAP.
Um, once you’re Secretary of State what is there to be promoted to?
President?
A spokesman for Mr. Cornyn, Kevin McLaughlin, said, “this is not an effort to scuttle or block the nomination, but a legitimate policy difference. Senator Cornyn’s goal is to create transparency on all levels of government.”
Frickin’ hilarious.
Throw that sudden concern for “transparency” in there with the GOP’s recent epiphany on deficit spending and their whining about the Congressional Dem’s lack of bipartisan spirit and it’s almost like the last eight years were simply a figment of everyone’s imagination, isn’t it?
Asshats, all of them. They know that silly shit like this is really all they are going to be able to do for the foreseeable future. I am truly laughing my ass off right now.
Hey we’ve got all the Democratic Asshats still, too. Did they all just appear, or weren’t they all on board whenever it ‘counted’?
I can’t wait for some primary challenges to the collaborators.
Well, you’re right about that. Actually, it’s the Democratic Asshats that piss me off worse than the Republican ones. I expect the Republicans to act this way.
How much different might things have been if there had actually been an opposition party during the Bush years? The enablers who are still around and kicking have to be made to know that they can’t just conveniently push it all down the memory hole.
Careful, cynicism isn’t for the next few days, apparently!
Wanker, indeed. It’s one thing to object and vote against her because of policy differences (of which I see little), but quite another to object because her name is Clinton.
I don’t like the idea of Hillary running foreign policy at all, but come on! This is ridiculous.
Didn’t H. Clinton and Cornyn hang out together at that Christian cult thingie?
Gee, why can’t Cornyn be bi-partisan?
I think Coryn just wanted a list of the donors so W knows where he can get money for his library. Transparency..
