The more the Republicans oppose Obama, the less popular they become. He keeps making them look childish, silly, and out of touch. Do you expect tonight’s speech will leave a smoking crater of their minds they’d like to blow away? Or will they become more determined to piss and moan? Or both?

Who is doing the comment afterwards? I think that will tell us a lot about the tone to expect. If they’re smart, they’ll praise him, but point out some difference in their philosophy. If they’re idiots, they’ll take a Sean Hannity tone. I’m pulling for the latter, of course..!
jindal…so expect a more pissing and moaning.
Cool. Can’t wait to see Jindal take the air out of his own momentum. 😉
Did anyone see the letter from Schumer regarding the stimulus package? He said governors have the right to accept or reject it, but they don’t have a line item veto. If they refuse some of it they have to refuse it all. Attention, Jindal and Sanford.
tpm has a synopsis of it here:
cue the theme from the godfather.
personally, i don’t care who responds or how because the GOP always looks like a bunch of idiots.
what i want to know is how a guy that quotes lyrics like…
… asks ME if i smoke pot for breakfast just cus I like “the price is right” theme. now THAT’S a serious question.
good question.
Why would someone quote something like this, if they didn’t know what it meant?
But that doesn’t mean I understand the allure of the Price is Right.
remember,
the republican’ts never want to pay the price,
and they are never right,
they just think they are …….
oh i know what it means alright.
I’ve seen my share of melting trees, thank you very much.
I’m on acid right now actually, first time since 1989.
Work is…. interesting.
I want one of these.
yeah, those are awesome. there’s another one that looks like a bike stand, a multi-level brewing stand that uses gravity to transfer.
we haven’t brewed in a few months, gotta get back into the swing of things.
[Nope, this isn’t about Obama-style ‘change’, but rather Climate Change]
Here’s reason #37B-Z Why the Repug’s delay on climate change was treasonous:
Even when we honestly TRY, we will have a lot of failures along the way.
Recognizing that we need to get rolling in an even more earnest fashion.
This takes me back to the Dead/Allman Brothers Band benefit:
It really was awesome applying all those here-to-fore ambiguous lyrics become so very, very meaningful.
I sooooo got on the bus that day.
Here’s a few video exerpts I found..

Hilda Solis was just confirmed as Labor Secretary by the Senate. Vote was 80-17. Woohoo!
About time, too.
When you get votes like this you have to wonder just what all the obstructionism was about. I mean, if the vote was 61-58 I could see McConnell et al trying to nail their caucus’ shoes to the floor, but 80%? That means at least, what? 22 Republicans voted to confirm?
hi Omir!!
no kidding…the obstruction was obviously not based on principle.
Folks, it should be clear by now the bullshit attempts by repuglicans to block economic recovery is all the proof we need this is class war, and just who the elitists are in the U.S.
please read Zinn’s A People’s History of the United States. you’ll see the wealthy elite set up the U.S. government for THEIR benefit (i.e. only white men with capital/property could vote, run for office, etc.. women and of course slaves had zero rights.)
the wealthy elite STILL operate on the same basic premise– the purpose of the federal government is to HELP them make profits and protect their profits. that is what deregulation has been all about– getting the federal gov’t. out of the way of all of the great businessmen and entrepreneurs out there who would lift the boats of the poor and the middle class if only the federal gov’t. would lower taxes to almost nothing and get rid of regulations, tariffs, etc.
what a total Load.
