Another favorite of hers.
As I recall.. Closing Creds for Naruto Shippuden about 3-4 months ago?
Me, I’m partial to the “Ghost in the Shell, Stand-Alone Complex” series….This from the first season…
The song they played during the climax of the SAC movie is also good. I have it but I can’t remember the name. Weirdly though I hate Gundam quite a bit, I have become a really big fan of the Brilliant Green.
Let’s see, I used to like Ayu but not her image is a real turn off and her music has fallen off since a few years ago so I’m much more into Hikki now. Asian Kung-Fu Generation (Hokai Amplifer is damn near perfect) and Orange Range are good, and usually the Pillows. Nujabes Hydeout album is great for office work too.
So there you go.
Anime.
The only two anime series I like are The Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya and Gunslinger Girl.
The rest? No clue.
Discovered this one playing Rock Band 2. Kinda cheesy, but it gets under your skin
Nothing like Japanese Heavy Metal, is there?
I’m borrowing this tradition from you and Boo.
I just call it Friday Night Music for now.
Oh, yeah. And it’s anime.
Love this girl:
Looks to me that she’s hooked on Naruto shippuuden….
Coming from the anime Collector…. (600+ DVDs, 200+GB downloads.
Of the openings for he series, this one’s one of the best. The Closing Creds for this parion of the series, tho…..that’s a different matter……(shivers)
When it comes to Anime, though….there are soooooomany titles that are decent, or better, fun to watch, with good music for the opening or closing creds….and sometimes even in the movie itself…
Some of the Adult-oriented series really can strain your brain (Paprika, Jin-roh, Hotaru no Haka) Anything Mamoru Oshii does (just about) is golden for a thinking person.
For Girls, though…..stories by CLAMP are great, depending on the age. My Early-teen daughter flipped out for ‘Rocket Girls’–about a high-school junior ‘shanghaied’ into becoming an astronaut for a small space-launch company based in the Solomons.
…..maybe I need to get more of a life…….. 😛
Everytime I see a CLAMP series I want to kick a puppy. Good god their art style burns my soul.
Anyhow, I have had really good luck with Manglobe since I watched Ergo Proxy (if only it had been longer) and really am enjoying MiToHa.
Heh, I wrote my final paper for an animation course (a course where we saw no anime sadly) on Jin-Roh: Wolf Brigade (the latest Movie).
Kamakid is also a huge fan of anime and manga. She’s also learning Japanese. I have to admit that I like much of the anime she has shown me. We even attend an anime convention together every year, which has been a real treat. This year, she is going to host a forum on visual kei, a J-rock style, because, naturally, she is also very into Japanese music.
