Kristof is a putz who is just one step to the left of Broder. He suggests Thomas Kean, Sandra Day O’Connor, and Lee Hamilton as members of a panel that might inquire into the crimes of torture, along with some retired generals. That cast of characters that would be certain to whitewash the whole affair and waste a few million $$ of our tax dollars in the process For Chrissakes, Kean was Chair of the 9/11 Commission, and Hamilton was a member as well, and look where that got us. O’Connor is famous for her vote in the Bush v. Gore case in Florida 2000. These are precisely the kind of people we don’t need anywhere near an honest panel of inquiry into the war crimes of BushCo.
Manfred Nowak is also an anti-Broder.
Since I never served as a contractor, I was only in the military, I say to you that the uniformed code of military justice [ucmj] is the book to follow, this was prior to the changing of it under the bush administration. now what I have been saying all day long, is that punishment is due to all involved no matter who they are. I do nit care if military or civilian..they must pay the price of breaking the law. It matters not what station in life they held or the position of government they held…they broke the law and must pay the price.
