Good morning! I feel like that puddle bunny up there…too hot.
I know just the thing to cool you off — a drive across the state to see me while I’m in Pittsburgh. 🙂
Why didn’t you tell me you were going there? It’s only 5 hours from here.
How is the ‘burg these days? And the BCROD?
I guess because I didn’t figure you’d drive 10 hours to spend 2 hours listening to me gripe about spending the day in a meeting. 🙂
All I’ve seen is the drive from the airport to West Mifflin — not a pretty sight. The BCROD doesn’t start till this morning but all signs point to no joy.
These are adorable, but I don’t know what they are
This is by far the creepiest flower photo I’ve ever taken – we think it looks like a scary Muppet show reject
poppies will put them to sleep
Watch your fingers around that middle one – it looks hungry!
The top one is really cool looking. Kind of looks like the inside of a kiwi (not that I think it has anything to do with a kiwi). Lovely crinkles on the bottom one (I’m ignoring the middle thing).
I thought the same thing about the kiwi…and lol, that middle one is Nature gone horribly awry. It’s like a female impersonator who went to bed all dolled up and woke up with smeared makeup and vomit in his hair….
Good morning all. I’ll have to check out these photos later on.
Another beautiful day here, although a little warm.
A wonderful picture above. A rabbit after my own heart. CG I hope it cools off a little for you, but not too much. Wouldn’t want you plunged back into winter.
Andi I hope the BCROD is over soon for you.
SN those are great pictures and I agree the middle one is creepy.
Boran hope you’re having a good day.
Hi FM! I heard a rumor that we might have coller weather (and wet) tomorrow…
Bleh!
Much cooler (a 30-deg drop…), and a good chance of rain tomorrow.
We had rain overnight and it just cooled down to pleasant. We slept with the windows open. The rain left us about mid-morning today and the greenup continues to leap out so quickly one can almost see the leaves unfolding!
Green is exploding. On my drive home this afternoon, a hillside that was brown yesterday had truned soft fuzzy green today.
Of course it could be mold.
My staff (and me) all have spring fever.
Better get down to the health dept. and have swabs taken and close the office for a month or so. Someone in the office probably had a ham sandwich over the weekend.
With mayo, no doubt. Hmmm, I’d be happy to telecommute from home for a month. Maybe the health dept. would take all of my complaint calls.
That’s right, everyone complain about the warm weather. Meanwhile, we had our first hard frost this morning and daytime temps have dropped to the 50’s.
And, the forecast for lots of rain has yet to materialize. If it’s gonna be cold we should at least get some rain out of it, doggone it.
Ok, homework. We found this in our backyard, under a tall pine tree. It’s more than twice the size of the x-large chicken egg.
duck? goose?
It looks like a turkey egg, but they nest on the ground. I’m guessing some sort of raptor egg, probably a Red-tailed hawk. Of course, if you have possums or raccoons, it’s possible that one carried it there from who knows where.
When I lived in Oregon I had a lot of trouble with raccoons taking our duck’s eggs, and eventually even the ducks themselves.
That was my guess – a red tailed hawk. I’ve seen one hanging around the yard. It would be cool if it’s nesting in the top of that big pine tree.
You don’t suppose these things are making a comeback in your neighborhood?
Gosh, I hope so. And I hope it poops in my neighbor’s jacuzzi.
That’d be a major splat indeed!
If it is a red-tailed or a red-shouldered (my other guess, depending on which you are more likely to have in your area) then it’s best everyone keep the kitties indoors until after the young birds fledge.
Good advice – though one of my kitties is a royal pain in the neck….
Hey again! Man I have been missing you guys! I hoping to be around alot more now that it seems like the drama has finally died down. (only took what? almost 2 years…gah.)
Either way, I hope you all are doing well! If I can remember how to post pics I will post recent pics of the kiddos for you guys so you can see what you have missed.
Looking forward to it. 🙂
I have missed you most especially 😀
There’s not place like home, Cake. 🙂
yes!!!! that’s exactly where the name comes from. I haven’t seen that particular video til tonight though. Had me snorting with laughter. thanks so much for that 😀
Someone has illustrated several of Eddie Izzard’s monologues with legos. This is my favorite:
I must have watched that a dozen times with my kids. It never fails to make me laugh
And speaking of photos, olivia and I have been doing a diary each Friday called Friday Foto Flogging. We have a theme each week (the coming one is “hard and soft” but anyone can post any pic of anything/anyone they want.
Morning Andi. Seems you’re up kinda early. It’s barely past 7pm here and I usually just catch you before I go to bed.
I’m traveling and I always sleep crappy when I do — unless it’s vacation.
Yeah, I have a hard time sleeping anywhere but my own bed.
Yep plus I think I miss bumping into all those bodies (Jim, Bebo, or Sniff) — I think that moving around in my sleep and finding nothing there actually wakes me up.
I only share with one body (can you imagine Luna on the bed and there still being room for us?), but ditto.
It’s bad enough imagining Giddy there so I could definitely see why you’d discourage Luna … and now Lily.
It’s finally bedtime here, so I’ll bid you all good day and good night.
Me, I must spread out. Hate bumping into bodies…unless it’s bumping into bodies time. Then I want sleep and space.
Welcome back!
Hey there! Great to see you … And echoing Andi’s invitation re: the foto flog … 🙂
Now I just get to look forward to flying home through thunderstorms … or even worse NOT flying home through thunderstorms.
So I definitely hope to see you all at Friday Foto Flogging tomorrow. The theme is Hard and Soft.
Good morning Andi,
I hope you get out of the BCROD very soon today and the skies are clear while you’re flying.
