Jack Kemp has died of cancer. He was a profoundly decent and profoundly wrong man. He lived just long enough to see the end result of the supply-side revolution he did so much to start and sustain. But he shouldn’t be remembered just for his costly errors. He should be remembered for his strong stances on civil rights for blacks and for being an outstanding athlete and teammate. My condolences to his family and friends.
