Unlike Wanda Sykes, I don’t wish for Rush Limbaugh’s kidneys to fail. I certainly wouldn’t pray to God to punish him (i.e., an imprecatory prayer) for all the many lies he has spread (here’s one recent example) and the nasty and racist and simply insane things (here’s another recent example) he has said over the years which are broadcast daily courtesy of licenses granted by our government to the radio stations which carry his program.
I would like to see his radio program fail, however. And you know what? I bet there are a lot of Republicans who secretly wish the same thing. Because it has to be the single most humiliating thing I can imagine for an elected official to be forced to apologize to an entertainer merely for suggesting a radio clown shouldn’t be the face of the Republican party.
