I knew he would melt down. I’m just glad he had the good sense to do it preemptively and without bringing disglory upon the rest of us.
Justice Kennedy really did justify denying a Pakistani-American the right to sue Ashcroft and Mueller because it was reasonable to round up Arabs after 9/11. Pakistanis, of course, are not Arabs.
I’m still gobsmacked when I read Jeffrey Toobin’s New Yorker piece on Chief Justice John Roberts and his insane argument that school integration was no different from “separate but equal”.
It’s like the entire world has gone crazy. The din of stupid is deafening.
It’s like some kind of Stupifying Virus was unleashed upon the world and some people got a worse case of it than others. I definitely don’t feel as smart as I used to be (I’m past 60 yrs old) but I’m still smarter than 96% of the people around me. And some people who were borderline moronic have degraded into froathing insane imbeciles. And because everyone is dumber than they used to be, the insane nutters are allowed to speak publicly — and taken seriously — instead of being laughed at appropriately or gently shushed in polite company. I’m really kinda serious about this: When did everyone start getting so damned dumb?
