Hi CG, you missed this comment in previous thread.
A surprise visit by Mr & Mrs AP to The Hague. Enjoyed a fine Cantonese Szechuan meal before they left for the Jazz Festival. I had to convey greetings to all, especially Manny, Martin and CG.

Cool! I’ve met CG, BooMan and Manny, and a few other Tribbers from times past.
The b2 boy has discovered the Boomerang channel which recently appeared unannounced in our cable channel lineup. It has all the old cartoons, many of which now appear very silly to me. The Jetsons holds up reasonably well, but Johnny Quest makes The Fairly Oddparents look like Shakespeare.
The other day when I was going through the archives to help BooMan build a list of “Greatest Hits”, I came across a few of the group projects that made Booman Tribune stand out from other sites.
I dropped the ball on the 2007 list but after reviewing it, saw that those issues still need addressing. Is there are interest in putting together another group project? If so, I’ll put a brainstorming diary together.
Hi Manee. You’re right – those group efforts were the finest hours of the BT. I don’t remember them as examples of Booman’s best writing, but I do remember working to do my best on my part.
It’s a great idea to do it again. The series with everyone contributing is always the best – like the dog blog and foto flog.
I’ll be looking for that diary.

Ms. Reed became an ardent antiwar campaigner, serving during the Vietnam era as co-chairwoman of a 285,000-member group called Another Mother for Peace and working for Senator Eugene McCarthy in the 1968 presidential race. In his biography, Mr. Fultz quotes her as saying that “she looked forward to a time when ’19-year-old boys will no longer be taken away to fight in old men’s battles.’ ”
