Do you think some of the people who have been deliberately lied to by right wing media about the alleged (and completely unsubstantiated) plot by Obama to take away their right to blow holes in stuff with their beloved firearms might just have decided they might as well go out with a bang, and take a few of those “people” with them? You know, the liberal vermin the same right wing media types have been telling them are the enemies of all red, white (but not blue) Americans?

All I know is that I’m not giving a dime of my money to that dagnabbit Government Motors Corporation.
Slightly OT, I find it a little disturbing that they’re all rushing out buying NEW guns without realizing that if they come for your guns it won’t just be the ones you already own. They’ll take ALL your guns. Irrational NRA sponsored behavior to say the least. But very good for the gun industry.
We should just level the playing field and give every citizen a gun. Last man/woman standing wins.

My guess: They were conservatives and wanted to stop everyone’s fun. Especially the upstairs fun.
I was in Houston a few years ago and everyone I talked to owned at least one hand gun. Women often owned several, guess so they would match whatever outfit they were wearing. Since I didn’t own a gun, I was regarded with sort of a bemused tolerance like I was a kindly but demented relative.
I think we’re on the leading edge of a truly epic wave of right-wing violence. If there’s any silver lining to it, it’s that like the teabagging protests, it’s a relatively few, not very well organized nuts, not anything approaching an actual insurrection.
And though it’s rather cynical of me to think this way, between the nuts-with-guns in the lower echelons and the unelected loose cannons in the upper echelons, by the time the next election rolls around, we’ll be able to assemble a three-hour video of what subversive, treasonous, batshit-insane thugs the American right has become just by splicing together news clips. “Republican” will be about as saleable a brand in American elections as “Anarchist”, and with good reason.

After completing the paperwork, the officer returns to Winkfein’s truck, but she refuses to sign the speeding ticket.
“Take me to jail,” Winkfein demands on the tape, “I’m a 72-year-old woman.”
That’s when the deputy opens the driverside door to arrest the great-grandmother.
“Give me the *** ticket now,” Winkfein curses.
The deputy shoves her. “You’re gonna push me? A 72-year-old woman?” The shove, the Constable’s office says, served to get the two out of oncoming traffic. Then, the deputy warns her one of five times.
“Stand back, ” Bieze says. “I’m gonna tase you.”
She responds by saying, “I dare you.”
