But fortunately for us, nobody does grumpy cuter than a bunny.
Yes our possums are much cuter than the gigantic rat that is the American Opossum (btw, ours got their name because some naturalist realized they were related to the ones in America).
The one above is a Brushtail possum. We also have a Ringtail possums. Although Ringtails are more common in the Western part of the state.
Very nice possum photos keres. Possums are rather appealing when you see them. How tame is the one in the photo?
Trouble is they make a lot of noise running over the roof and fighting or mating with each other. We have them in plague proportions in the inner suburbs of Canberra! A catastrophe if they get into the roof.
The above possum was raised by a friend and is very tame. He’s essentially a pet that lives outside in the bush.
We have two (entirely wild ones) that live in the roof of our shed, which being a shed, is not really a problem. One’s black and the other is a dark silver agouti. They’re young looking and I suspect they are siblings.
As for the fighting and mating ruckus, it really has to be heard to be believed. Such an awful noise.
In the US the big problem was getting a family of skunks moving in to the crawl space under your house. The smell gives them away.
We’ve had three inches of rain in the last 24 hours.
This was Lily at her cleanest yesterday.
Ah the pain of puppyhood — learning you can’t always get what you want.
Life is harsh.
those big dogs take up a lot of room, he can’t bound about on the cushion.
Exactly. Although he does try bounding between the dogs sometimes – which is hilarious.
Clearly it’s not all hilarious — it’s completely, absolutely, and doggone (he wishes) unfair.
That’s a really cute possum — very different from the stupendously ugly and immensely dumb ones we have.

Yes, keep them out of the roof at all costs!
