(I know, I’m a little slow on this one…)
Is it Friday today? We’re headed down to my nephew’s little league championship and all star game tonight.
It’s Friday on a Thursday!
I think I like this kind of four day week better than the ones where I have Monday off.
I think so too. I’m not sure why, since it’s a 3-day weekend either way. Maybe because Friday has a much better reputation than Mondays? 🙂
BTW, I can’t believe BooMan thinks a woman should be limited to dating one guy at a time. How victorian…
Because you can imagine yourself going out on a Thursday night and enjoying yourself more than a Sunday night?
Or because Friday night becomes more like a Saturday night? More time for BOTH guys. 🙂
There are definitely more options for Thursday night fun than on a Sunday, don’t you think?
BOTH? I was thinking there would be a night for all three…Thursday, Friday, Saturday.
Well, you’re younger than me.
Everybody’s younger than you. 😉
You better run after making that crack, boran2…
::sniff::
I thought you were my friend.
Sorry, I’ll bring a big bag of M&Ms to Pittsburgh if you’re goin’.
not goin’ to Pitt.
We’ll miss you there.
I will make sure to eat M&M’s and think of you while it is going on.
oh please, please, please, please…say it isn’t so.
I never intended to go.
I just wanted you to come so we could maybe drive over to Dayton or something and meet AndiF there…and we need to get together and drink some cosmos again.
nuh uh
It depends on what your definition of “dating” is.
Um, I may have been using that euphemistically…you know, sort of like the Sanford definition of soulmate. 🙂
“Hiking the Appalachian Trail” will never again mean the same thing. I’m surprised my husband didn’t use that one.
Now I’m going to have use that one: “Hey baby, want to hike the Appalachian Trail with me?”
Hey … wasn’t Andi hiking … does the Appalachian Trail go through the smokies? gasp.
Yes, you’re right. But I think you only “hike the appalachian trail” with someone who isn’t your spouse.
But did we EVER see a photo of the F’s together? Deeply suspicious.
Maybe she found her “sole mate”
Yeah and after the bum got blisters, I definitely needed a different sole mate (and this time I’m going for one with “dainty” feet).
Are you switching teams? 😉
Are you making an offer? ;P
Funny moment — one of the news stories used an AT trail sign that we had hiked past on the first hike we did.
This week’s theme is Random: What’s on your mind or in your viewfinder?.
Olivia will have the diary up later today.
Good morning all and Happy Holiday to all who evaded their evil overlords today!
Good morning ID! That’s me, no overlords today.
The damn blogarrazzi caught me out walking.
Y’know, Mom always said to make sure I had clean underwear on when I went out in case, god forbid, I should have an accident and wind up in the emergency room with dirty skivvies.
Yeah, and then you get in an accident and crap yourself anyway. They never mention that.
I have to admit I’d like the holiday a lot better if they’d just forget all about the Declaration of Independence so I could forgot about the amazing hypocrisy at the core of what we’re supposed to celebrate. (Why yes, I am a curmudgeonly old fart.)
Why yes, I’d rather continue with the painting & flooring of Mrs. ID’s office & our kitchen, which has become a seemingly endless endeavor. Too much the perfectionist am I in these matters.
On the other hand, there will be free food at the fire dept. later today and that’s a definite lure. Maybe we could build a holiday around cheesecake!
As for the Declaration, why that’s just a gd piece of paper… or was that the Constitution? No matter, they’ve both been trashed beyond imagination.
Have a peaceful day whatever you do;-)
Part-Time Curmudgeon
Belated Happy Fourth of Cheesecake! 🙂
So how was the food at the fire department?
Postponed until after the deluge.
But it’s all about the food, isn’t it? 🙂
At our age, that and naps are all we have left:(
Heh. I don’t know about that…
I’m just excited to have a barbecue with the kids, try out some new recipes, and go see fireworks tonight.
Anybody else watching the Williams sisters this morning? I hate it when they play each other-I want them both to win. How can their mother stand it?
It rained here through the day and night so it sure wasn’t about fireworks and firecrackers. I guess I feel a little bad for the kids.
I like to think that my French ancestors living west of the then international border (the Mississippi) were looking at each other and saying “Mon Dieu! An English civil war! Maybe FRANCE will return and things will go back to normal!”
Well if that’s the case, we now know they weren’t so good at prognostication. I hope they were good trappers. 😉
If we could just have their health care and summer vacations please…
Good morning all. The b2 boy has decided that he now likes watching fireworks and is no longer (very much) afraid of them.
Good morning boran2! It was extremely soggy here yesterday. No fireworks here until tonight. I’m glad the b2 boy enjoyed watching them out your way.
Good morning ID! We’re finally having a break from the rain!
ah a turning point. Your little boy is growing up … 🙂
It was wet yesterday but the rain stopped so that all the fireworks could happen. It got very humid thought. Ugh.
Today I have to spend my day at a wedding shower. Fortunately a co-ed wedding shower. But still … a wedding shower.
Condolences. 😉
Imogen and I spent the weekend on the northwest coast of our little island.
While walking along this beach we were shocked, shocked I tell you, to find another couple trailing behind us at some distance.
WARNING very large image.
On the inland track we saw about thirty wombats and promptly named Narawntapu “Wombat Capital of the World”.
Interestingly, most of them were a lovely (often chocolaty) brown color, whereas our local ones are tan to gray in color.
Almost as cute as a muddy puppy. 🙂
Looks like you had a lovely weekend.
