Proud to be an American:
Amenable mortality measures “deaths from certain causes before age 75 that are potentially preventable with timely and effective health care,” such as treatable cancers, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. According to the Commonwealth Fund, the United States ranked last in comparison to 19 industrialized countries with a rate of 109.7 deaths per 100,000 in 2002–03. In the leading countries, mortality rates per 100,000 people were 64.8 in France, 71.2 in Japan, and 71.3 in Australia.

Pretty cool, eh?
.
Interesting analysis per country: deaths from cancer and specifics of the United States.
Teen birth rate, teenage pregnancy and abortions the US is leading all industrial states. Same with obesity, plastic surgery procedures and spending per person.
As for the cancer survival rate, the US is leading all industrial nations especially due to more extensive screening and the prostate-specific antigen (PSA) test. The prostate cancer survival rate is 99.3% in the US vs. 77.5% for Europe. In the Netherlands, the survival rate from cancer is much better in a specialised facility with excellent research [Antonie van Leeuwenhoek] than a general hospital.
"But I will not let myself be reduced to silence."
Ms. Betsy’s been canned by her medical equipment company employer. Seems that last nigh didn’t help her career much. Appearance of conflict of interest during healthcare debate, they said. Yah reckon?
Enough with the lies.
60 members of the House made it clear they won’t vote for a bill without a public option.
In four days, FireDogLake and partners raised nearly $350,000 for progressive members of Congress who agree to draw a line in the sand over a public plan.
You, too, can offer carrots to these progressive politicians at ACT Blue:

Americans are proud of their death panels. Our mortality rates show that they are the most effective death panels in the world.
In infant mortality among industrialized nations…oh, wait.
Go USA, you morans.
