What’s up with you? Anyone else wishing it was Friday? 🙂
Not me — I’ve reached that age where I don’t like wishing my life away. 😉
Good morning CG and Andi,
CG once you retire you’ll find out that everyday is not Friday, but Saturday. If you’re going to wish for a day, then wish for one that you don’t have to do any work at all. Oh wait, I forgot that you don’t work on Friday – never mind. 🙂
Hope everyone is doing fine and enjoying your hump day.
Hi Family Man! Very good to “see” you here! Friday is my next favorite day to Saturday. Except maybe payday Friday, that is.
Hiya ID,
Good to “see” you too.
Back in the day, payday Friday was always one of my favorite days too. Since I stopped wearing a watch some years ago, I don’t even pay attention to what day it is. Sometimes being overly slackerly does have it drawbacks though. However, it’s too much effort at the moment to think of any. 🙂
My own (at least semi-retirement) countdown is at 1 year, 4 months, 5 days.
I started counting down at one year until retirement. I even had one of those count down calendars where you mark off each day leading up to the final one. I think the count down calendar was a mistake though. It seemed to make that last year a lot longer than it should have been.
We all had short-timer’s calendars at NAS GTMO when I was there many years ago. They were like paint-by-number outlines and every day we would color one in. IIRC, they covered the last 100 days. The day my mates and I were to leave, some jerk ran a forklift into one of the wings on our aircraft, so we were stuck there in limbo for several days, waiting for a new aileron to arrive from the states. Lots of beer consumed during that particular period.
That’s directly opposite from what I did on the consumption of beer. I seemed to consume more beer at the beginning of my military career than at the end. 🙂
I guess some grow mature more quickly than others;-)
Nah I think it had more to do with I was flat broke at the end of my career. 🙂
I am so tired today, I need to be off Friday…and of course, it’s CBtEs 17th birthday today, so there’s no rest for the wicked. 🙂
I still have to frost the cake and make dinner. I REALLY hope all the boys get the house ready for the party while I’m at work.
I like that every day is Saturday idea too. I think I have a few more years to go before I get there, though.
At least 18+. 🙂
Damned fine hump. Thanks Boran2.
Ah shit. Dominick Dunne died.
More Zion:
Oooooo! Very nice!
What ID said.
What ID and FM said. 🙂
If it isn’t already part of your plans, add the Devil’s Garden while you’re at Escalante … it’s a perfect playground for a 10 year old.
We’re headed over there this morning. 🙂
I hope you had (or are having) a great time. And took bunches of pictures. 🙂
Unfortunately, the Devil’s Garden was too far in on that crappy dirt road. We went instead to Petrified Forest State Park for a hike. After that we went to a really cool gallery/workshop of a local couple. They were very nice people.
I wonder if there’s a place where you can rent a 4WD because the Devil’s Garden is really a fun place and also Hole-in-the-Rock road is really worth a drive.
But glad you found something else to do.
Cool!
The theme is Random. Come on over and post a pic or just visit.
Good morning Andi! I’ll post something later when I have decent wifi.
Thanks for the pic over in FFF. Of course, you know you can always post another picture here in the cafe. We won’t mind at all. 😉
