The start of yet another week…
The weather this weekend was gorgeous. I wish I could stay home and enjoy it for one more day, but I guess I’ll just have to make do with lunchtime.
You’re up early. Must be all that invigorating fall weather. 🙂
I have a window open and the refreshing cool air woke me up. Plus I wanted to put up a new cafe.
How was your day in Cincy?
It was a great success. We moved her stuff out of storage into her the room in assisted living and got everything set up for her (we even booted up her computer with her favorite solitaire game running) and then we brought her down from the nursing care unit to see it. She was just ecstatic and said it felt like home. She can’t wait to move in on Thursday. It made us all very happy and very relieved.
I’m sure the thought of having some privacy and her own stuff with her to use again made it easier.
Glad it went so well.
I just wish it hadn’t taken a broken leg and a stint in nursing care to get her to realize that she couldn’t do independent living any more. Ah well, it’s all okay now (including the leg).
At least it wasn’t her hip. That’s usually a devastating injury.
I hope she adjusts to her new situation easily.
She’s in a wheelchair permanently now (her knees were just about gone and the leg break was just the finishing touch) but she’s doing pretty well with it. I’m hopeful that it will okay.
That’s exactly how my mom got to assisted living and she (thankfully for the family) loved it there.
We don’t need no stinkin’ Monday.

That’s actually how I feel, but I’m trying to put a good face on it. 🙂
So that means you can go in to work and shed all over the furniture?
Does this comfy pose mean the wood stove is fired up?
Of course not. If that was the case, they’d all be on the dogs beds around the stove.
Skip right to Tuesday.
It’s Tuesday! Oh wait …
Too late. 😉
Just as well — geezers aren’t really that eager to wish away any of the days I’ve got left. 🙂
Hope everyone is just cruising along.
