Well, kos has his predictions. I don’t have a clue about the Maine ballot question, New Jersey, or NY-23, so I’m not offering any. Maybe you have an opinion?

Will prove to be fantasy. Corzine will cruise, VA slate will be closer than expected.
I hope you are right.

Whatever happens, it will be good for Republicans.

I think Kos’ predictions are pretty good. I hadn’t really thought about NJ’s Gov race as becoming a litigation nightmare, but if it’s close enough, the Republicans will lock their teeth onto whatever remote chance they have of winning in court. All the commentators and prognosticators should probably brush up on New Jersey election law before this evening, cause this could get technical.
I haven’t been following the CA-10 race – where both of my sisters live. When I asked them about it, they were both oblivious. But given the economic climate in that area (foreclosures everywhere – many really bought that Bush “ownership society” bullshit hook, line and sinker – now they feel burned.) I can see the Dem winning handily.
Whatever happens scares the sh*t out of me. It was bad enough when the majority party in America – the Independents – had only two parties to chose from – the Rational Party and the Totally-Brain-Dead-WTF Party – now they have the Even-More-Totally-Brain-Dead-WTF Party as well.
That America has SO MANY crazy, armed, bat-shit-crazy people does not bode well for it – or the world.
Yikes!
I’m about to go vote for Deeds and for my town council. I have no idea who is running, but apparently an undergraduate and a graduate student at the local college (Virginia Polytechnic) are running. I’ll vote for them, even if we disagree on many things. The thing is, we make up more than half of this town, and yet we’ve never had someone represent us on the town council. They vote on things that make the old people happy and the young people have no representation. That alone is enough for me to vote in support of the grad/undergrad duo.
Whatever happens in NY23, I’d love to see Dede Scozzafava switch teams.
I can’t predict results, but I can predict what MSM will say tomorrow:
“Elections are bad sign for Obama,” or “Elections show Obama weakness.”
I know these will be the headlines because I saw on The Today Show this morning the headline, “Elections: Early test for Obama.”
It is always sickening to see how these races are over-analyzed (even when my team does well).
DEEDS absolutely SUCKED as a candidate.
I’m keeping the fingers crossed for Hoffman.
I keep hearing that.. How so?

was spent to send me two emails today GOTV as mayor of New York. The ad was forwarded as Mike is a strong supporter of Israel. His 1,000 men anti-terror force of the NYPD has strong ties with Israel in cooperation to fight international terror.

"But I will not let myself be reduced to silence."
what’s the dylan line?…money doesn’t talk it swears…l think it is.
$100m buys a lot of favours.
In this case it also buys silence. Evidently mayormike’s “philanthropies” have been giving $ to community orgs, so they aren’t saying anything against him. heard this discussed on the Brian Lehrer show, did not follow what the link between mayormike’s antipoverty push and the “philanthropies” was supposed to be, but seems to me his “antipoverty” effort has been successful.
I have one more prediction. I predict I will not respond to this solicitation-fax I got today:
“Thanks to the help of business leaders across the country – Newt has begun to get our message across that the Obama administration is bad for America and bad for businesses like yours. I hope you don’t mind, but I went ahead and personally recommended you to New to become a member of his high level, ‘Jobs and Prosperity Tax Force.’ This is Newt’s group of top advisers from the business community – and I think you would be a terrific addition to the group!
“We would like to send out the attached Press Release to your local paper announcing your appointment and run a full page ad in the Wall Street Journal with your name in it, endorsing our ‘Jobs Here, Jobs Now, Jobs First Campaign’ – which includes a complete abolishment of the ‘Death Tax’. We think your name will really help and we would be grateful if you’d give us the courtesy.”
The attached press release indicates that Newt is thrilled to have me on board and that I will be invited to Washington for strategy sessions and events.
I suspect he doesn’t know I read Booman regularly.
opinion? for what it’s worth(not much) hopefully a big teaparty. maybe then the fools out there will wake up and see that in this country, at this time, there isn’t time to sit back and bathe in their victories. if the vote total is a typical off year total, then the good guys and gals are gonna get their asses kicked- and that is the best possible outcome.
