The old one was getting a little crowded. 🙂
Very cute picture. He’s a cool customer, no?
Hope you’re over your holiday illness & you’re getting ready for a great New Year.
That’s his “chairman of the board” look. 🙂
Ah yes — with matching hairstyle.
🙂
Aww. Does he have red hair?
In certain light, it looks totally red, but I think it’s really light brown. CBtE had reddish light brown hair when he was a baby, but it’s dark now.

Does this week count as a week with a hump? I’m not looking forward to this one being over (for a change). 🙂
I’d say yesterday was the biggest hump day of the year but I won’t because if I were to say something like that it would sound really, really dirty. 😉
That’s right. You’d never, ever say anything emotely like that…
Hope all is well this morning.
I’m really starting to miss my luggage. Three days in a row: Yes, we have your bag at Dulles – we’ll deliver it to you in NY as a priority. Nothing!
Maybe they could put your luggage on a bus. I hear they are running. 😉
Hope you have a great New Year’s eve and day — with or without luggage.
You’d think so…
Busy morning ahead – both kids need renewals of their Norwegian passports. Off to the consulate soon.
Good luck at the consulate, I hope it doesn’t take too long.
Some of my clothes are so old and boring, I’d almost welcome the luggage loss for an excuse to replace them. 😉 Seriously, I hope your bag catches up with you soon. How long before you head back to Geneva?
Still got a few days – heading back on Tuesday.
That happened to us this past summer. We went to Albuquerque. Our luggage went to Atlanta. No problem there.
When we did finally receive it, my bag was damaged. It was near new had been used only once before. Sigh.
Hope it arrives soon!
So cute!!!!
Thanks.
I’m sitting here watching him with his new blocks this morning. He’s already figured out that they stand up easier on the wood floor instead of the carpet, so he’s moving a pile of them over. Interesting…
And with that, I’m off to pick up CBtY from his friend’s house Not looking forward to the cold weather out there…
Warmer today, it will be about 40 later on. Not too bad for New Years.
how wonderful!!!
just reread. Would love to see him moving those blocks, just wonderful!
We’ll have to put some youtube together, maybe in honor of the big birthday on Saturday. Can’t believe it’s already been a year!
Please do! looking forward to it!
That went fast – and, yes, do a little video – its 6 months already since we last saw him.
I can’t believe that was six months ago. It hardly feels like any time has past at all (except for the slight change in weather).
Good morning, Andi.
I feel the same way about it.
I guess that’s OK, since it means summer is soon here…
Well said!
Speaking of summer, its already above 50F here this morning, with highs of around 60 expected. The snow is melting quite speedily! No flood warnings up yet that I’m aware of.
Hi ID, we won’t get that high, but we’re at 40 now – heading for 45. That should help remove some of the mess.
Heading out to buy replacement clothing – no sign of luggage yet.
It seems much warmer here today too. I have CBtY chomping at the bit for me to drive him over to a friend’s house now…
Sorry your luggage is still among the missing.
Give that little one a hug for me.
Here’s hoping that 2011 is a massive improvement over 2010.
At least on the work front for me. 🙂 My 2010 started off pretty spectacularly…
What are you up to today?
Uh, that was me, CG (on the wrong computer…)
Happy new year to you and all the Cabin family.
We’re just got back from a nice long walk which completes the plans for the day, at least until Winter Classic hockey game comes on.
Happy New Year – and Happy Birthday to Finny.
2010 wasn’t too bad; back to work and won my case. Improvements are always welcome, though.
Lazy day planned here – swimmer is back in Paris, young asklet will come over later.
Happy New Year to you, curly & the small asks! I see Hizzoner da Mayor is in the doghouse regarding snow removal. Hope you’re able to get around ok.
And back at you and Mrs. ID.
We’re getting about without much trouble. Mt Sinai is right next door so this area had high priority.
The Hizzoner was pretty cocky earlier in the week, but as news of people dying because of the shoddy snow removal efforts started coming in – he did seem more contrite.
AFAIC – he’s been in the doghouse since the RNC convention in 2004 when hundreds of peaceful protesters were detained.
Here’s one for you and your retirement from elected officialdom:
LOL ~ thanks for that! Strangely enough, I was an organizer and later a local official and negotiator for the IAFF back in the early 70s. Good works, good times. Cesar Chavez was active with the Florida farm workers nearby in those days. He was a great man and one at the top of my personal heroes list.
Happy new year! Here’s hoping you can start it off with arrival of your luggage before the departure of your flight.
There is hope. Bags now said to have arrived JFK. My increasingly vociferous complaints have also resulted in the promise of travel vouchers to compensate the inconvenience (in addition to the $150 budget they gave me to get urgently needed items).
I was going to celebrate but maybe I should wait until you actually have the luggage in hand. But I’m glad you got some recompense.
I cleaned out my desk at work & turned in my keys yesterday. Guess I’ll take a shallow plunge into the chaos of my home office to see if I can at least scratch the surface there a little. Afternoon nap is a priority, though.
Congrats on your freedom from carping constituents.
I must confess, I was becoming quite hard-hearted toward the lakefront vacation home set.
Wow, lucky you! Enjoy!
Thanks! I certainly plan to, although Mrs. ID began making me a to-do list last summer…
Oh no, now I don’t know any influential people in high places!
Does your new gig count as a almost-nearly-semi-high place? 😉
Absolutely! We control the lion’s share of the overall budget. Got any civic projects you would like to propose?
Of course, I do. Broadband, broadband, broadband!
I heard economic development is on it. Smithville Tel has been laying fiber optic in the county for a couple of months now. I’ll see if I can steer them your way.
That would be beyond great but I wonder if they will really be interested in this side of the county.
There was a lightning strike and huge thunderclap nearby at the stroke of midnight last night. The thought crossed my mind that it could be an omen of something or other;-)
Hmmm… maybe it was the door slamming at the end of my career as a full-time elected official.
to all Froggybottoms!
Slipping out of lurkdom to pop my head in and hope everyone had a lovely holiday season and wish everyone a healthy and happy 2011. May it be better than last year!
(looks around) looks pretty much the same except for the toybox in the corner 🙂
Have a great year everyone.
Hi Maryb ~ Happy New Year! The Finn Man looks comfortably right at home at BB Kings, doesn’t he?
Good to see you, maryb!
Happy New Year, everyone!
Happy New Year ww!
Thank you, ID!
Happy New Year, WW. May it be filled with many fine hours lazing on that lovely porch
Thank you, Andi! Maybe we’ll see you here too.
That would be truly wonderful.
Yes, it would! At the very least.
It’s not so bad out there today, actually. We’re up to about 38 F!
Unfortunately, this won’t last ’til May.
It seems saying Happy New Year to you all over the internet is the theme of the day. 🙂
And so Happy New Year to my friends in the enchanted forest!
Wonderful to see you here. Happy new year, mary!
.
Lots of love, happiness and best wishes to all of you and close family members.
Wish you were here …, it’s become a tradition for 10,000 participants no matter what temperature.
"But I will not let myself be reduced to silence."
Hope you and yours have a great one coming as well, Oui.
I followed the link – were you there?
.
leave the joy of bathing to my fellow human beings.
We do live close-by, approximately 2 miles and enjoy the beach, sand dunes and beautiful nature most of the year. Our grandson of 4-years prefers to visit Scheveningen sea-resort at any time.
"But I will not let myself be reduced to silence."
Brrrrr, not for me, thanks. Happy New Year, though;-)
.
"But I will not let myself be reduced to silence."
think I’ll take a pass on the swim (too far from my snow cave anyway), though I’d love one of those hats!
Wishing you the very same for the New Year, Oui.
Happy New Year all and best wishes for 2011!!! Apologize for late wishes – Internet out here for most of the day. Hoping that 2011 starts out well, with the return of ask’s luggage, and continues to improve on through Dec 31!
Same to you Errol … plus wishing a rapid demise to your snow cave.
thank you, Andi! btw my snow pics have been snowed in at the office. and alas there’s only one puppy pic.
Happy new year Errol!
right back atcha, boran2!
Happy New Year to you, Errol!
Time to get ready for more winter ..
indeed, buy maybe a few warm days first! very happy new year, ww!
Thanks for your good wishes!
Maybe I’ll see you at a New York meetup this year.
As for the weather, I fear it’s becoming more ‘seasonable’ even as I type. Here in the Catskills we’re headed back to the terrible teens ..
what fun!! looking forward to it!!!!
