How do you, Hosni Mubarak, an aging autocrat whose hold on power is slipping away despite the willingness of your secret security force goons supporters to beat the crap out of your regime’s protesters, know finally and without a doubt that the jig is up? When Tony “The Bush Poodle Boy” Blair says this about you:
“Where you stand on him depends on whether you’ve worked with him from the outside or on the inside. I’ve worked with him on the Middle East peace process between the Israelis and the Palestinians so this is somebody I’m constantly in contact with and working with and on that issue, I have to say, he’s been immensely courageous and a force for good,” [Blair] said.
Sorry, Hosni, but when Tony Blair starts calling you a “force for good” it’s time to leave the stage. Has that man ever been right about anything?
Thanks for the reminder of how the nothingness of Tony Blair comes back periodically to haunt us. In his views, Tony Blair is still carrying water for the Israelis in the Middle East, this time denouncing the Egyptian revolt. The EU should have known better than to send him to the Middle East to make peace. Many of us forgot that he was there at all, when he was there. And when was that?
Huffington Post gave him this headline: Tony Blair: Mubarak Is `Immensely Courageous And A Force For Good’
Would that good be keeping the Gazans under siege, starving and hurting for basics like medical care?
Blair is nothing more than a British John Bolton, a Neocon, albeit one with good teeth.
Aww God Tony, do you see what’s happening in Egypt?? Are you blind??
I just worry because the Egyptians have no Nasser waiting in the wings. Careful what you wish for – it could get even worse, and I’m no fan of Mubarak.
