I can’t bear to watch, but it occurs to me that “I barely beat Ron Paul” is not exactly a resounding endorsement of any future real outcome for the GOP race.
I think Roger Simon attempted to make that point on Howard Kurtz’s crappy show this morning.
True, but when your eventual goal is to say “I am here representing the terminally stupid sociopathological segment of the populace” saying you barely beat Ron Paul doesn’t sound half bad.
best one-liner l’ve seen:
there’s some serious truthiness.
Ron Paul has raised tons of money. And what has that gotten him the past 6 years?
The Sunday shows just started for me. But I was busy and missed much of her first appearance. Thankfully the DVR records all of them. I think she got into some conflict with David Gregory over Future First Lady Marcus, who she wants to hide in the closet. Not sure.
She’s doing all of the Sunday shows though. I have trouble watching all of them so I patiently await the reports from ThinkProgress, HuffPo, TPM, etc.
Did y’all saw this photo of Marcus yesterday where Michele made a point of showing all of us that he is Definitely NOT GAY…
Can’t you just tell by his reaction to having a fat 12-incher shoved into his face while standing in front of 50 cameras?
Possibly even funnier than Michele’s photo working on that monster weiner…
Those two pictures just ended any chance Bachmann’s has of winning anything. If not, it’s utter political malpractice.
Her handlers and publicist must HATE her.
Not so fast. Bachmann’s corndog fellatio picture is going to completely steal Sarah Palin’s VPILF base. I bet Bachmann’s tweeting the “Here I am at the Iowa State Fair” to Palin’s Twitter followers right now.
I think you are on to something. Sarah’s probably going to have to one-up her pretty quick so her spotlight doesn’t fade. She MUST win this beauty contest, dammit!
Beauty?
Realize that the judges of THIS Beauty Contest all look and think something like Rush Limbaugh. So, yeah. they know their target audience.
Yeah, you’re right, but that word just sounds so wrong in this context.
Did you somehow miss Sarah Palin’s toes at the state fair:

Just for fun – Homophobe Rick Santorum sodomizes an ice cream cone.
Man-On-Ice-Cream-Cone sex?
Newsweek should’ve put THAT on the cover.
I watched Michele Bachmann’s three minute speech yesterday (she was allocated 20 minutes) and I realized that photographers aren’t trying to catch her looking crazy. She just does – all of the time. I saw other speeches on the same stage with the same cameras and they were all capable of either looking at the camera or at the audience. She, on the other hand, was only capable of looking at the ceiling – on the other side of the room, like she’s looking to God, or is afraid to look at either the people or the camera.
So all of this criticism of her crazy eyes or looking in the wrong direction is not gotcha stuff on the part of the photographer. It’s just her.
it’s been obvious to anyone who’s ever seen Crazy Azz Bachmann that the photographer from Newsweek only did what a photographer is supposed to do – take pictures. no art required. no trickery.
the woman IS batshyt crazy and it shows up pretty much everytime she opens her mouth.
I’ve been watching her for a long time and you’re right, that’s just what she looks like. What that faux outrage was about was intimidating reporters into producing vanity pictures that somehow hide this. In the end, there’s no way they really can. I just wonder how many media outlets will be “apologizing” for taking normal pictures of her going forward.
The C-Span doesn’t lie. That’s where I watched it all.
The best thing from that photo is the thought of Tina Fay doing the same thing on SNL
Seriously, BooMan…who gives a flying fuck? She’s just another sideshow. It’s a two-ring circus, and only the center will be allowed inside the real “big tent.”
I continue to watch in amazement as you folks pay attention to the hand of the magician that is being used as misdirection. One would think you rubes would’ve wised up by now.
But NOOOOOoooo…
I hate to think of what he is doing with his other hand.
But there is certainly something happening below his belt.

Bet on it.

What’s with the YouTube embed/BooMan Trib interface?
Here’s the URL.
Go watch it.

You need to choose “use OLD Embed Code” check-box for it to work here.
Thank you.

Your YouTube video didn’t show up right.
But seriously AG, we’re all just having FUN with this. Surely you can remember what FUN was like, can’t you?
We know the media’s messing with us for ratings. Maybe the majority of the population doesn’t and that’s why we all monitor what’s being said. But this is all so ridiculous and the fact that the media bobbleheads can even keep a straight face and pretend these clowns (or a stupid straw poll of bought voters) deserve a forum is hilarious.
So we poke fun at them. No rabbit in the hat to look for just yet. Things aren’t even warmed up. And we all know what’s going on below the belt…
Y’know, Randy…my idea of “fun” does not include the increasingly distinct possibility that the destruction everything I, my parents and their parents’ parents on down the line sweated our asses off to build is just one bad election away from being flushed right down the societal toilet.
it is not “fun” to envision my son’s world being essentially taken away from him just as he starts to build a real place for himself in it.
“Fun” does not have much room fror broken dreams and broken bodies unless said funster is a dedicated sociopath.
The Bible pins this one, sir.
“When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.”-1 Corinthians 13
I have plenty of “fun.” I am a musician. They call what I do “playing.” I play highly complex, often improvised music in bars and concert halls with people that I respect and sometimes love. I got yer fun, right there.
This shit?
It borders on murderous.
Tom Pierson, a very strange and wonderful composer w/whom I used to work in NYC…he’s in Japan, now…had a macabre catchphrase that he used when he talked both about his music and the society/culture in general.
“Murder is not entertainment.”
Yup.
And there it is.
In a nutshell.
Murder is not entertainment.
This fiasco/farce that we call “The U.S. Government” is based on murder. Murder and the threat of murder are its number one domination tools, or at least they used to be before it discovered the mind control abilities of the media. So much less messy, don’tcha know.
And I am not entertained.
Not anymore I’m not.
Bet on it.
AG
Sorry for using the “fun” question.
I agree with you and I hope you know that I’ve learned to love your comments over the years. If I haven’t told you that before, I’m telling you now. At first I thought you were crazy but then, gradually, after following some of your links and such, I’ve realized that you are a very wise man.
So we watch this horror show of politics. We all wish it were different but the powers that be in the business world (who own all of our asses) have determined this to be our reality.
You have to be able to laugh to keep yourself from crying sometimes.
This is not how it’s supposed to be. And we need to find the magic way to stop this nonsense from polluting people’s minds. So we watch and wait. And we hope for something better. And we laugh at the stupidity of it all.
