Anyone else looking forward to first World Series Game Seven since 2002? What else is on your mind? Doing anything fun this weekend? Dressing up in costumes?

How’s your fantasy team working out, Boo?
I remember we compared lineups. As it turns out, forgetting to draft a backup for Tom Brady until Round 10 and then having to settle for some rookie in Carolina worked out after all. I traded Newton for Michael Turner.
On the other hand, Felix Jones got hurt, and I had to sign some no-name backup off the Cowboys’ bench and start him last week. Marco Murray or something. I should check and see how I did.
I’m 3-4, mainly because I’m getting nothing out of Chris Johnson and Mario Manningham. However, Calvin Johnson is a beast.
I don’t think anyone saw this coming from Chris Johnson.
The Tigers are out and I’m still having Nelson Cruz nightmares – tell me when it’s over (although I hear it’s been a great series).
Last nights game was ccccrazy good.
That was the best postseason game I’ve ever seen. Maybe even the best game period. Although I wasn’t around for Mazeroski’s homer, the Fisk game, or some of the other contenders. Hard to imagine that tonight will top it even though it’s Game 7.
Yeh, ny wife and I were doing ALOT of yelling at the TV. Kids were not amused, especially my daughter who was trying to study for a bio test in another room. I say, too bad! Get some earpluga! When Freese dropped that routine fly ball in the fifth I thought the Cards were done. Then HE is the hero who ties the game with two out on two strikes in the 9th, and knocks it out of the park in the 11th!!! All I can say is, YOW.
My parents are out for the weekend at their marriage retreat with their cult…erm, sorry, their church…so I am staying home watching my sister. I was supposed to go to a Halloween Party. This is especially irritating as they believe Halloween is the holiday of the Occult and Satan. Oh well, foiled again.
But it IS the holiday of the occult and Satan.

Good luck Texas!!
2002? That sounds about right. Took the Angels seven games to win it. I was pleasantly surprised the whole series.
We’re going to an Ugly Bug Ball tomorrow night. Trying to work up a bug costume. Years ago, a friend dressed up her whole family as the Killer Bees, ala Belushi & Co.
Listening to Tim McCarver makes my ears bleed.
“I know, let’s take Joe Buck and team him with Tim McCarver!”

Can someone answer me a question?
What is with ‘God Bless America’ during the Stretch? 9/11 was TEN years ago.
But more than that…… Why in the heck does everyone stand with their hats over their hearts? It’s not the national anthem! It’s NOTHING. It’s just a song, like any song.
I guess it just shows how stupid Americans can be. ‘Here, let’s play a song, and you people worship it’.
This is the song they should play. Standing with hat in hand is optional;

I was gonna go see the Rum Diary but postponed that in favor of Game 7. I love seeing Texas get messed with.
