No one could have predicted that the right would attack Herman Cain’s alleged victims and their children. I feel badly for the people they’re attacking, but it’s instructive for everyone else to see them behaving this way. Sometimes they drop all pretense and take off the mask. This is one of those times. It’s a learning moment.

It’s despicable. And didn’t Cain’s campaign manager go on Hannity accusing the woman’s son of working for Politico and the person he named is neither the accuser’s son or an employee of Politico?

Yes!!
Yes. He’s got a very professional campaign team.

Rusty Limpballs always does. The better question is why does Clear Channel keep him on? Are the higher ups there soulless creeps? Seems so.
He makes them a lot of money.
Limbaugh is not an employee of Clear Channel. He has his own syndication company, EIB, and charges a premium price for his show.
Clear Channel owns a number of stations that carry Limbaugh, but so does every other major radio broadcast company. Very, very few local cluster managers (let alone corporate higher-ups) would have the courage to take a major money-maker off the schedule for something as tangential as moral reasons.
What I can’t understand is why his show is so popular. The few times I have listened, he was disgusting, vile, hateful. It’s disturbing that so many people find his schtick entertaining.
I have to assume my snark-o-meter is off. You didn’t mean this seriously did you?
Of course not. I never use that phrase in earnest.
Phew.
Sorry, I must have been dumbing myself down in preparation for the Republican debate.
I’m astonished that the “ugly bitch” comment came on Cain’s own web site. I mean, not that they wouldn’t think it, but don’t they even know to get surrogates to do that kind of smear?
The sentiment isn’t surprising. The incompetence, though, is really hard to reconcile with a guy who’s leading (this week) in the polls. Yet another indication that even without scandals, there’s no way Cain was going to be viable for the long haul.
Debate thread anyone?
In case you didn’t know, the 2,016th Republican debate is on CNBC now. And it’s better than most of the previous ones so far.
I’ve got it on too.
Mittens was actually kind of classy there. Surprising.
I do believe Scranton PA must be the most debate-mentioned city in the US other than Washington DC.
this is who they are
