   Not only is it completely different than Islam, all of the Sikhs I know hate Muslims. Granted, none are my generation (all aged 40+), and it’s only my experiences. I dated one girl whose mother was Sikh (she was an atheist); I always got uncomfortable if Islam came up.

     I suppose we shouldn’t jump to conclusions before the facts become available.  But it doesn’t hurt to remind others that at least one Sikh was murdered in this country because one US vigilante was a complete idiot.

     Scanner reports say a witness to the shooting told law enforcement the shooter was a white male, with a heavy build, bald head and wearing a sleeveless T-shirt, and had two handguns.

     Emphasis by me.

     Possible, may even be likely, but so was the murder of Shaima Alawadi in CA for a few months ago.  A gillion blog words of outrage later, the legal hate crime angle never existed.

   Police there are now calling it “domestic terrorism”.

   Will be very interesting to see how this develops.  Police seem to be going to great lengths to be methodical and also very tight lipped.  I’m sure the media will spin themselves into the ground with their speculations.

   FBI and Police are classifying this as “Domestic Terrorism”.  I find it kidna interesting that they did not confirm the “bald white male” description that alleged witnesses identified the gunmen as.

     Reports are that it was a 10 year old child who first saw the shooter at the Sikh temple.

     In nutty minds like Nugent’s, if that kid had only had a Glock in his pocket, he could have taken the dude out!!!

     You can’t be sure of much, but you can be sure that some bitter moron with a grudge is looking at guns as we speak, and getting ready for a big doings. As we speak, someone is getting ready, and it’ll happen in 2-3 weeks.

     Don’t be sad. It’s just something that happens. Dead people are coming. I know that there will be dead people.

     As the recent Supreme Court race demonstrated, we Wisconsinites are deeply – and evenly – divided in our political views. Has it been this bad before? Well, never in quite the same way, but yes, acrimony has been the order of the day more than once in years past. Wisconsinites have been at each others’ throats regularly, sometimes with lethal consequences. And governors have often been in the thick of things, particularly during the administrations of Jeremiah Rusk and William Dempster Hoard.

     The discord was deadliest during the eight-hour demonstrations of 1886. Tired of working 10 to 12 hours a day for only a dollar or two – and without a dime in benefits – thousands of Milwaukee workers struck for an eight-hour day without a cut in pay. One by one, the major employers closed, until the only plant left running was a massive iron mill in Bay View.

     On the morning of May 5, 1886, a crowd of strikers estimated at 1,500 marched from St. Stanislaus Church on Mitchell St. to Bay View. Gov. Rusk, a decorated Civil War general, had already called out the state militia. Acting on Rusk’s orders, troops stationed at the mill opened fire on the strikers when they were 200 yards away, killing an estimated seven people.

    Shooter described as Army vet in his 40s

    (JS Online) – A few details did emerge about the man whose Cudahy duplex apartment was searched by police hours after the shooting. He was described as white, single, in his 40s and an Army veteran.

    That description came in part from Kurt Weins, who lives in the 3700 block of E. Holmes Ave. in Cudahy. He said he rented the property to a man he believed to be from Chicago with no record of violence in Wisconsin.

    Jenny Czarnecki, a neighbor a block away, said she and her daughter know a woman who lived in the same duplex as the man. Czarnecki said the man lived there with his girlfriend, whom he broke up within the last few weeks before moving into 3725 E. Holmes across the street.

      Mere speculation because of a 9/11 tattoo? I have found no specific confirmation, except he is a 40 yr old Army Vet who recently split up with his girlfriend. However, it’s not impossible in the manner he ambushed a senior police officer. Racist Extremists Serve in the U.S. Military

    I am beginning to believe…on the mounting evidence of the recent shootings…that perhaps his biggest domestic problem (bigger than the economy, bigger than immigration, bigger than unemployment, bigger than the official Republican Party) ) is going to be white supremacist violence.

    Domestic terrorism, in a word.

    Can’t take over from the inside? Got a lot of crazies available with guns? OK, let’s destabilize the system with terror. You’ve got permission, bubbas. Fire at will.

    How does a government stop something like that when it’s too late for “gun control” because there are already so many guns out there that they will never, ever be recovered? I dunno. As we have seen in the Islamic resistance systems, committed people who are willing to die for what they believe are a powerful force, and semi-independent action in a digital newsworld is immediately amplified from an isolated crime to a sign of the times.

      I hadn’t realized it was the cop who was shot “8 or 9 times” who killed Page.  It’s astounding, he gets shot 8 or 9 times, still manages to shoot and kill the murderer, and is expected to recover from his injuries.  Sounds like a Die Hard sequel–a poorly written one.  I think the term “hero” fits quite nicely.

      And that commentary thread is a mess.  Now on top of all the gun-grabbing Obama conspiracy theories, we have the new meme that noting the killer was a military vet means the Liberal MSM hates our troops.  Yippee, more fever from the swamp.

        Ambushed Cop, Shot 9 Times, Refused Aid and Ordered Officers to Help Victims

        (OakCreekPatch) – Murphy was struck eight or nine times by bullets delivered from Wade’s 9mm, semi-automatic handgun. Oak Creek Police Chief John Edwards said bullets struck Murphy’s extremities and he was also shot in the neck.

        When other officers arrived Murphy — wounded and bleeding in the parking lot — refused help from his fellow officers and instead directed them to help the victims inside the temple, Edwards said.

        The officers, armed with tactical rifles, refused to leave a fellow officer behind and brought Murphy to safety before shooting and killing Page outside the temple.

          OK, that makes more sense.  I was reading from the Yahoo-GMA story the pundit quoted:

          Page was shot and killed in an exchange of gunfire with a police officer who sustained “eight or nine” gunshot wounds, authorities confirmed. Officials are treating it as a case of domestic terrorism.

          If he sustained 8 hits to the extremities, he probably wasn’t even able to hold a gun by that point.  Even so, trying to get his fellow officers to leave him in favor of helping others is still a mark of heroism, in my book.
