A penalty flag on the first play? I hope that is not a sign of things to come. Enjoy the game!!

As an Eagle Scout, I stand with the president. Here, words matter, a lot. Especially as this was shown right before the Super Bowl:
That fake field goal was a stupid idea in that situation.
Considering it was a short gimme FG, it was sure to take points off the board. And it was no sure thing they would even make the first down at 3rd and 9.
So yes, that was dumb. It had the feeling of big brother wanting to stick it to little brother some afternoon long ago in their backyard.
But worse were several play calls in close by the 49ers. That rollout right was run three times with no results.
Apparently not. It’s rock-em-sock-em robots after every other whistle.
I kind of expected Baltimore to dominate, mainly because their QB is a lot more experienced. But San Fran can still come back. They have a great defense and their offense and QB should be less overwhelmed after playing a half.
That interception seemed to take a bit of heart out of him. I like him. He’s a fun guy to watch. Good luck, SF
Starting off 3 scores down, and getting to a tie by converting a 2-pt conversion is a huge hill to climb.
Downton Abbey starts in 20 min.
Ugh.Ravens opened up the 2nd half with the longest TD kick return in league history. As a Ravens-hating Browns fan, this is going to be a long night for me.
Game was more exciting when they had lights.
Superdome was impacted by Katrina, right?
wasn’t that 7 years ago?
impacted by halftime show.
I was not impressed. Were there any actual songs in that mess?
There was one long continual song that lasted for about ten minutes, with a little variation in tempo. Lyrical content stayed about the same.
I hope everyone knows that Paul Harvey was a RWNJ who was BFF’s with Joe McCarthy and J. Edgar Hoover.
That’s the rest of the story. RWNJ for sure. I hate that sanctimonious Readers digest piece of crap. He was the Fox radio of the 60s and 70s.
George Carlin explains something:
Very exciting game! Who would have thought it at the end of the first half?
The bad guys won. So nu? It’s football. Ray Lewis is certifiably insane…a megalomaniacal bully operating almost entirely on emotional and physical power. Good thing, too. If he had access to some intelligence he would be really dangerous.
Ray Lewis talks about double murder from 2000, says God ‘”…don’t use people who commit anything like that for his glory.”
What a piece of shit.
It’s not that I think he committed the murders or has been complicit in them in any way…I really have no idea. It’s just that whole athletic “God” thing ramped up to an unbearable level.
As if “God” needed big, loud, stupid, high-energy motherfuckers to amp up a bunch of athletes by getting in their faces and yelling at them. I’d love to see him try to pull that act off with someone like Lawrence Taylor or Jim Brown. Lawrence Taylor was no saint, but he didn’t hide behind God or anybody else.
The bad guys win again.
So it goes.
