I am almost more offended by the Banksters’ whining any time someone criticizes them than I am by their disastrous malfeasance.
How about you?

Almost. But not quite. I’m still waiting for a perp walk, but I guess I’ll be waiting quite a while before that ever happens.
Aw, did Elizabeth Warren hurt their poor widdle feewings?
Malfeasance, a trillion times over…
Malfeasance is actually a euphemism in this case.
Let’s go Iceland on ’em!
If they hadn’t lobbied to stop her appointment to head the CFPB, she probably wouldn’t be senator.
Seriously. There’s more than one way to be “taken seriously.”
my thought also
Yeah, I wondered about something similar with respect to Richard Cordray yesterday. If they block his nomination, as it appears they might, I wonder how they would feel about him as democratic governor of Ohio.
In my younger days, I would sometimes use the phrase “too stupid to live” . With the republicans now I think it’s “too stupid to learn”.
I’m offended by each, but their malfeasance badly damaged, and in many cases ruined, hundreds of millions of lives. Their whining just irritates and offends, although their whining (and their money) helped gain the regulatory changes which allowed their malfeasance to be so abusive of the public, sooo….hmmm, bad set of choices, Boo.
I think Lloyd Blankfein, Ed Conard and so many of their class should fuck off and die. How’s that for expressing offense?
Don’t forget Hank Greenberg, whose company was even more slimy than the banks, yet now has the incredible arrogance to try and sue the Feds for not giving them/him enough money to reward their/his crimes. Only in America.
Elizabeth Warren asks bank regulators the most obvious question and stumps them:
Duh. I just shared basically the same thing that’s in the article.
It’s well worth repeating. Thank the gods for Ms Warren.
And see my diary post from this morning on the right.
To me it’s all the same thing: the pieces of shit destroy the world economy for their own profit while they’re running ads about how profoundly they try to help American families. Then when their god-given impunity is challenged they do precisely what criminals always do — play the poor victim. If any of them ever do get indicted I can see where I might change sides on the death penalty. I might quite enjoy the whining then.
They can all go die in a (Hell)fire.
The sooner the better.
I’m more offended by all the politicians who took the banks’ money and got rid of Glass Steagall even though we had just spent a decade cleaning up the mess made by deregulation of the savings and loan industry.
Of course, the criminal actions of the bankers are the most offensive, though those crimes were not an unexpected result. Investment bankers do what they have always done (find creative ways to rip other people off), except this time, with their giant ponzi scheme in mortgage backed derivatives, they did it on a larger scale than ever before.
As for whining, well I used to represent a bank as a lawyer. After a while you get used to all the whining. Half my billable hours was from listening to them whine.
It was fun to bill them, wasn’t it? 🙂
There was some sexist undertones in that letter.
“Perhaps someone ought to remind the Senator that the campaign is over and she should act accordingly if she wants to be taken seriously.”
Really? The GOP never stops campaigning, ever. Where was your sternly worded letters and finger waving then, Galtian Overlords?
Economic crimes? They march them into a full stadium, tie them to a post, blindfold them, shoot them in the head, and charge the families for the bullet.
That would be a good start towards those greedheads who tanked the world’s economy.
There are people who will never modify their behavior unless under the threat of physical violence. The people who wrecked our economy believe that they are so powerful that they are untouchable, and I await the day when one of those asswipes gets assassinated.
Please tone it down. Jesus.
Boo, you want to remove this offending post. Goes too far, and tarnishes your site.
