Again, thanks so very, very much to everyone who has shared their wonderful photos with us over the years. It’s been great fun.

Endings are just big changes, eh? Thought you might like this site – 30 of the most beautiful abandoned places and modern ruins I’ve ever seen
I’m going to miss this. Please never stop posting your photos.
Thanks for the link, Alice.
And thanks for enjoying the flog.
I plan to keep doing my Mon/Wed posting in the cafe.
BTW, I have a blog where I post [LINK] where I post photos Monday-Saturday. You’re more than welcome to come visit. And there are several years worth of archives too.
The End Of A Season
The End Of Play
The Bank(or The End Of The Hall)
The End Of War
The End Of Loneliness
Lovely set. Both the cat photos are wonderful but the last one is especially so for its emotional resonance.
Yep, that last one is so sweet! Love them all Bob.
I’m not ready to say goodbye, I’d be willing to post the Flog once a month. So what do y’all say?
I’d be delighted to participate if you want to take it over.
As long as everyone continues to post, it’s certainly a worthwhile venture.
Bob, echoing Andi. I’d love it if you did as well! xo
Fantastic!
Next theme – Spring – New Beginnings
April 5th
I’ll drop a reminder in the Cafe’.
Excellent. Jim and I will be there.
Got it in the calendar too. Looking forward to it!
Excellent news!
Yay!
as ol’ Lawrence would say, “wunnerful, wunnerful, wunnerful!”
I was hoping for just such an offer!!!
Oh, love that colour in the leaf shot Jim … wow!
Thanks for your work in the past years, Andi and Olivia! And I’m glad to hear Bob is willing to take over.
In this sentiment here are my interpretations of “Endings” which in some cases may also be seen as new beginnings! (Click images to enlarge)

Fantastic set Sven – always enjoy your interpretation of the theme. My favourite is Bensheim with the tree.
You always take me on wonderful cityscape tours. I just love that first shot — what a spectacularly effective combination of perspective and pattern.
Thanks to Andi and Olivia for all your years of efforts here!
Thanks b2. 🙂
You’re welcome. It’s payback for all those great paintings. 🙂
Thanks AndiF and olivia for all your efforts in hosting this feature for so long.
Final snow 2013 (noontime 8 March)?
Last fall
New beginnings
Thanks ask. Love that first shot – even though I’m snowed out, ha! 😉 Love the leading lines of the fence and the bits of green colour.
You’re welcome, ask.
Great set. I love the pull of the first photo and the echo of the peace symbol in the maple leaf.
Thank you Andi and olivia for being the faithful stewards of the Flog since way back in August, 2008. What an enjoyable and educational experience its been for me! Thanks BobX for taking up the torch!
Dam done gone
A neighbor no more
End of the road
The nuke that never was
Just water over the dam
Love ’em all but the great capture of the tree limb falling and the water layering of the dam photo are my favorites.
Love the colour sheen on the last one. And the falling log! 😀
Thanks Olivia and Andi for doing all these FotoFares. It’s been great fun!
Frost on Fence
Frost on Trees
Frost Falling from Trees
Tracks in the Snow
BlackBirds in Tree
Near as I can figure, according to the Smithsonian Handbook, Birds of North America, Eastern Region, these are female adults or first winter male Redwing Blackbirds.
What’s peculiar is that they’ve never arrived during winter before this year and I’ve never seen them at the bird feeders.
BlackBirds Eating Sunflowers
BlackBird and Redpolls
Cool set. 😉
It’s neat that you got new visitors — our crew is very constant.
P.S. Did you notice that BobX has volunteered to continue the Flog? Hope you’ll keep checking back for new ones each month.
Love the frost on the fence photo – truly awesome!
Thanks Swen
Frost on the fence is beautiful!
The New Beginning from Bob X is certainly a welcome enterprise.
It seems that Olivia & Andi`s endeavor was one that kept many of us so connected.
It also brought out the participants` creative side & helped us take bigger leaps into the world of composition.
I will never forget any one of you contributors & hope you all help Bob X carry on this wonderful gallery.
As for me, I will strive to be active in our special group, though I`ve been petty scarce of lat.
I`m still working a very heavy schedule but am looking forward to a month off while Teri goes to visit the new addition to the family down in Australia, a little girl born two days ago to her son Blight & Eleanor.
Her name, Mirabelle.
Now my submission is really an unexpected new beginning, a hitch hiking Gorgonia that came in on a new soft coral I purchased.
Congrats on the new baby!
And wow, wow, wow, that is such a cool photo (and cool coral).
One of my past Gorgonias, from a number of years ago.
Bella
But even more surprising is an image I took this evening of one of my cactus blooms.
This is the first of over 47 buds I have, waiting to bust out.
And if anyone cares, please come back tomorrow, wherein on my one day off a week, I shall show you some incredible specimens I`ve added to my reef.
It is becoming my masterpiece.
I`ve also changed all the lighting to LED
Wow!
Love the name Mirabelle – congratulations!
Olivia,
My lovely friend.
Thank you.
In Spanish, “Mira” is ‘look’ or ‘behold’.
Mirabelle is
“Behold,… A Beauty”
I shall post images of her soon, a dark tressed, blue eyed angel.
It is great to hear from you.
You know that you are very special to me.
Don`t tell anyone though.
Hey, how about a few clues to tickle your fancy.
Falco Hawkfish
OPEN BRAIN, TICKLERS (FEEDING TENTACLES)
MAN`S BRAIN (THINKING PINK)
Fantastic. I have definitely missed seeing your critters.
And thanks for the additional Gorgonia and the gorgeous flower.
Spectacular set, once again.
Hey NDD,
Nice of you to step up.
Those precursors to the Red Wings were a trip.
And you have to take images for many many years & in the cold to capture the essence of frost with the chain link fence shot.
Absolutely fantastic.
It is actually the molecular diagram of a youngster`s tongue, frozen to a metal pole, on a dare.
Amazing set of images Head!
One wonders why this doesn’t appear on the recommended list.
Alice,
Nice of you to say, but sometimes it`s great that it is Our little secret that we so openly share.
For you, a Red Blastomusa, that has never been seen previously, one of my new corals.
