The folks over at The Corner seemed mystified about why the Associated Press would report that a new voter ID law in Virginia was passed because “a more modest GOP-sponsored voter identification law failed to prevent President Barack Obama from winning Virginia for the second presidential election in a row…”
They also take umbrage at Democrats referring to this as a Jim Crow-era law. Their lack of self-awareness is amusing.
Not to mention the cost of the law that did not work was about 2 million to the state
There is an implicit assumption here that Barack Obama could only win by fraud. They are in denial. Romney/Ryan were at least as bad candidates as McCain/Palin. What’s next? Ryan/Bachmann ?
OT, but expect this to take the air out of the twitterverse for the rest of the evening and maybe most of the day tomorrow.
Ashley Judd: I Am `Unable’ To Run For Senate
Yeah, no shit. And fuck Markos, too. He said we should start embracing the “mild” voter-ID laws like Virginia passed because the public is in support of them, it’s a way to deflect criticism, and in “this form” they don’t do much damage. Give them an inch, they want a foot.
Speaking of, same goes to you, Mr. President:
Bob McDonnell, Virginia Governor, Introduces Abortion Coverage Ban
Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell (R) introduced an amendment to the state’s health insurance exchange implementation bill that would prevent insurance plans in the new health exchange from covering abortion.
While similar bills introduced in other states would allow a woman to buy a policy rider for abortion coverage, McDonnell’s proposed amendment late Monday night would ban that as well.
Alas, the Judd dream is over.
great minds think alike 🙂
Drat! Popcorn futures just took a nosedive!

I before that’s the SoS right, and also the woman who was reportedly the Big Dawg’s choice.
She was my second choice; she was my friend Jeremy’s first choice because “she’s proven she can win statewide.”
I preferred the higher gamble on the unabashed liberal. Dammit.
Wait, who is your first choice?
Sorry. Judd was my first choice. Lundergan Grimes was my second choice.
