They’re so soft and convey the delicate feel of a field of wildflowers on a hot humid day.
Since these are woodland wildflowers, they should be making you feel the coolness forest dotted with bit of color and white. π
Ha! We do take away what we want don’t we.
Very nice – so delicate. What a lovely spring its been.
Love how delicate and perfect they all are.
Great flower photos, Bob. I have to admit that I’m a sucker for the dramatic so the first one is definitely my favorite.
Also, great website of the month.
Thanks Andi, found that after my father in-law sent the link to the London world record panoramic from the top of the BT tower. http://btlondon2012.co.uk/pano.html
Bob your pictures come out spectacular and Andi’s seem more delicate. Nice contrast between both. Listen to me I sound like I know what I’m talking about. π
Thanks FM, You do. We have distinctly different styles and it really shows up on a forum like this. Watch what others post, I’m really interested to see what turns up.
Bob X,
Well here are a few to compare to.
I took most of these in the last week or so & some are underwater garden delights.
Hi everyone.
Usually I like your reef shots best but this time I do think the flowers have them beat. Especially love the pink one.
Also, howdy.
Great set, glad to have you back! What is the red one in the arid garden third down from top, another cirrus perhaps? Beautiful white on black lily.
Lovely flora and fauna that looks likes flora.
I like the pink cactus(?) flower in the middle of the set, too. Great series, as usual!
PURPLE REIGN
Royal.
First rose of the season.
Wow, that’s an extravagant flower.
Danke schoen! It should be the first of many, now that we’ve finally shaken winter for good.
I don’t think the roses have even begun forming buds here yet. That spot will really be spectacular with several blooms out.
Beautiful bloom.
Very pretty.

This set deserves a five!

What a neat series of photos.
Spring critters
Ms. Raccoon stops in to renew her homeowners policy
Who? Me?
Random sproutings around the neighborhood
You’ve been a busy boy with the camera. π
Love the lilac series. And great capture on the raccoon (seems a perfect shot for the Democrat).
So the lesson you’re teaching is: when life gives you rain, shoot raindrops.
Just out feeling my way around the new camera. Madam Raccoon was moving her babies from under a house to a hollow maple next to Michael’s. Didn’t want to get too close and frighten her and she wouldn’t cooperate with setting up a decent shot when she had a baby in her mouth.
April-May in IN is special.
Beautiful. Especially love all the drops of water.
Smashing color.
Interesting critter, too. I’m loving all the color after the browns and greys of winter.
Oh, love the critter! Love the bold, primary colours.
Your set is certainly a brilliant splash of color, BobX! Lovely.
Thanks π
Agree — love the bright colours Bob.
A late contribution.
Spring has been 2-3 weeks late this year and it is still unseasonally cool. The theme is April Showers Bring May Flowers – well, here the April Flowers have barely showed up yet.
Shot this afternoon, hardly any foliage yet
But there is hope
Usually the first arrival, not until around April 20 this year (Hepatica nobilis)
This one showes up at about the same time – Coltsfoot (Tussilago farfara)
A week later, the Wood Anemone (Anemone nemorosa)
And the first wild strawberry flower – yesterday morning
Wonderful to see signs of spring no matter how small, isn’t it. The 2nd shot is my favorite — love the deep vee of the leaves, the soft green, and the pattern of the leaves.
Our spring is way late as well, still in the low 80’s, should be high 80’s-90ish, nice set.
Lovely set ask, especially the strawberry flower.
Oh, I am so happy to see that this has not gone away! I’ll try to put up some images tomorrow. In the meantime, I am recovering (I hope!)from back surgery. The good news is that I am off work on disability for 12 weeks. The better news is that thanks to the fact that I was putting in quite a bit of overtime during the period they used to calculate my disability pay I am actually bringing in more than my normal base take-home pay. The bad news is that I am not really up to doing much of anything useful or fun for the 12 weeks I am off work. Boo hoo!
Hope you feel better good enough soon to enjoy some of those days off.
Ow – back surgery! Hope your recovery is swift with minimal discomfort.
Good luck to your speedy recovery, hope to see you in tip-top shape soon.
Feel better soon Hurria.
Hurria,
Sorry to hear you are injured.
Get plenty of rest & see me as soon as you can.
Doctor`s orders.
Get well soon.
Late to post (similar to the warm weather arriving here, heh).
And May brings with it … frost/snow. Have to bring the tender plants in and cover up the new growth tonight. Boo.
Some with texture …
Love ’em all, but that last one is spectacular!
What ID said!
Olivia,
Fantastic set all around.
My favorite one I share with AndiF, the Dandelion seeds fading to the background blur.
Hypnotizing!

Well, it is a springy photo, after all.
